My Hero Academia Creator Kohei Horikoshi Provides Update After Season 3 Finale!

Season 3 of My Hero Academia might have just ended, but creator Kohei Horikoshi has no plans of stopping.

He also confirmed that My Hero Academia will have a fourth season, but also pointed out one of the final episode’s jokes.

For fans of the show, Horikoshi’s confirmation shouldn’t be news. At the end of the last episode for Season 3, the show confirmed it would have a fourth season. It had also previously been announced in the 44th issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.

The My Hero Academia anime, is based off a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi. It’s actually a newer creation first appearing in the Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014. There are currently 14 volumes as of August 7, 2018. The anime is produced by Studio Bones with director Kenji Nagasaki and written by Yosuke Kuroda.

The show follows the adventures of a young boy named Izuku Midoriya, who lives in a futuristic world where 80% of the population has superpowers or quirks. However, Midoriya is one of the few who isn’t born with a quirk. Nevertheless he is determined to be a superhero like his idol All-Might. In a chance encounter with a villain, Midoriya proves his heroic nature to All-Might and even inspires the hero to be better. All-Might eventually becomes his mentor as Midoriya enrolls in a highly competitive school for students who want to be top heroes.
