Brie Larson Uses Captain Marvel to Get Political!

Just before the upcoming election, Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson took to Twitter to use her character to get people to “Rock The Vote.” Check out the tweet below:

Larsson used an absolutely awful pun, which she admits in order to get people to the polls. However, she didn’t just use a bad pun, she used her upcoming role as Captain Marvel to get people to vote. She shared a brand new photo from the set in order to encourage her fans to vote stating, “PLEASE VOTE TOMORROW.”

This isn’t the first time Marvel Studios stars decided to use their clout in an attempt to sway people to vote. A number of the Avengers: Infinity War cast teamed up with the anti-gun group March For Our Lives in order to get people to vote.
The group included Chris Evans, Chadwick Boseman, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, and Mark Ruffalo. They were joined by Marvel TV’s Rosario Dawson and [easyazon_link identifier=”B01J5SES5U” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]X-Men: First Class[/easyazon_link]’ Zoe Kravitz. March for Our Lives activists David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez were also part of the video as they attempted to push people to vote for their anti-gun agenda.

Larson followed in the wake of Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo, who used his role to get political. Ruffalo used the mystery surrounding the Avengers 4 title in order to get people to register to vote. He also went on a twitter spree trying to get fans to get their own friends to vote in a bid to show how important he felt the mid-term election was.

Marvel Studios actors have tried to sway elections before. During the 2016 election cycle Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Don Cheadle and other Hollywood celebrities joined “Save the Day” to campaign against then-candidate Donald Trump.
