Part of the journey is the end.

This first teaser trailer gives a look at how the Avengers are coping with Thanos’ brutal attack that wiped out half of all living creatures in the universe.

The teaser starts with Iron Man completely dejected after failing to stop Thanos. It even looks like he might be going on a suicide mission in Star-Lord’s ship.

From there, we get a look at Thanos’ armor hung up like a scarecrow as he walks through a green field still taking in his own actions.

We then get a montage of the surviving Avengers and Nebula taking in the loss. We see Captain America shedding tears, Thor looking grim, and Nebula looking reminiscent. Hawkeye finally makes a return and he looks to be in Ronan gear and has been taking on villains somewhere in Asia.

While most of the trailer takes in the full blow of Thanos’ attack, Captain America and Black Widow appear to have a plan up their sleeve. What that plan is, it’s hard to tell from the teaser trailer, but they appear to be in some kind of ship. It’s quite possible they might be searching for Scott Lang aka Ant-Man and delving into the Quantum Realm.

We know it’s possible to communicate from the Quantum Realm, so it wouldn’t be unheard of to see Scott try to make contact with the Avengers in order to get a rescue.

But maybe the biggest reveal of all is the actual name of the film. It will be Avengers: End Game, as was originally rumored following the close of Avengers: Infinity War.

What tidbits did you gleam from this teaser trailer?

Avengers: End Game hits theaters on May 3, 2019.
