New Audi and Marvel Virtual Reality Game Could Reveal Who Rescues Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame!

Marvel and German car maker Audi showed off a brand new virtual reality system while attending the Consumer Technology Association Conference in Las Vegas that could hint at just who will rescue Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame.

According to Variety, Audi is showing off their new VR system with Marvel’s Avengers: Rocket’s Rescue Run, which is a prototype developed by Disney Games and Interactive Experiences.

Here’s how Variety describes the game:

“In “Marvel’s Avengers: Rocket’s Rescue Run,” passenger players are flying through an asteroid field together with Rocket — and the Audio e-tron becomes the virtual embodiment of the Guardians of the Galaxy ship. For example, if the driver takes a right turn, the ship in the VR game also veers to the right around an opposing spaceship. If the Audi e-tron accelerates, the ship in the experience does the same.”

Not only is this a pretty cool new piece of technology, but the fact that the game is called Rocket’s Rescue Run and it’s debuting just before Avengers: Endgame is supposed to hit theaters could be a big clue that Rocket Raccoon might be the one leaving Earth and setting out to save Iron Man, who appears to be stranded in space from the looks of the first trailer.

There has been heavy speculation that Pepper Potts might be the one to rescue Tony Stark with her own Iron Man armor. In the comics Potts does get her own suit and takes on the superhero persona Rescue. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays Potts, showcased a photo of herself in what looks to be a suit of Iron Man technology. She’s also discussed having super powers for Avengers: Endgame.

However, this new Audi VR game looks to have thrown a wrench into that theory. And in fact, it would make sense for Rocket Raccoon to be the one to save Iron Man given he has experience in space and might actually be familiar with Titan and how to get there.

In all likelihood, we might actually see Rocket and Pepper Potts team up in order to save Tony and Nebula. Avengers: Infinity War was all about showcasing the heroes in specific teams, and I wouldn’t be surprised if directors Joe and Anthony Russo continue that tradition in Endgame. We already know Captain America and Black Widow will be teaming up with Ant-Man, it’s not out of the realm of possibility for Rocket to team up with Pepper.

What do you make of this new VR technology? Do you think it reveals that Rocket Raccoon will be the one to rescue Tony or do you think he and Pepper might team up?
