Charmed Actress Alyssa Milano Calls Wall “Symbol To White Supremacy”

Former Charmed star Alyssa Milano took to Twitter to voice her increasing displeasure at President Donald Trump.

This time Milano called Trump’s plan to build a border wall a “symbol of white supremacy.”

She wrote, “We are in week 3 of a government shutdown and yet Senate Majority Leader McConnell and the White House continue to block a clear way out.”

“The country is in chaos because Trump can’t convince the majority of Americans to fund his symbol to white supremacy,” she added.

Milano’s Tweet comes as a government shut down heads into record-breaking length, in the modern sense lasting for over 20 days.

In her Tweet, Milano blames both the President and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell as the roadblocks to the government going back to work.

Reactions online were mixed with people some supporting Milano’s activism and taking it even further by blaming Executive Chairman of News Corp, the parent company of Fox News as well for what they see as the current ills of the country.

Others mocked Milano’s position and poked a little fun at her.

Milano’s activism hasn’t been doing too well recently. She made a fool of herself when she tried to score political points by denigrating a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for a southern border wall, insinuating the crowdfunding campaign should be used to take care of veterans instead.

As fellow actor James Woods points out the crowdfunding campaign was actually created by a veteran.

Not only did Milano face pushback from her previous comments regarding a border wall, but she’s also faced setbacks in other areas of her activism.

She recently announced she wouldn’t speak at upcoming Women’s March organized events after allegations of anti-semitism surfaced surrounding the organization

She told The Advocate, “Any time that there is any bigotry or anti-Semitism in that respect, it needs to be called out and addressed. I’m disappointed in the leadership of the Women’s March that they haven’t done it adequately.”

As of right now the “Symbol To White Supremacy,” as Milano calls it, has an uncertain future as both major parties don’t seem to want to blink in order to get the government fully running again.

Of course, she isn’t the only person who uses social media to generate attention to causes they believe in or to take swipes at public officials they have problems with.

Former Hellboy actor Ron Perlman has provided his colorful commentary on political issues over the last few years.

And as we’ve seen with Samuel L. Jackson, Milano won’t be the last celebrity who finds Twitter as the perfect platform in order to express their political feelings.

What do you make of Milano’s comments? Do you agree with her?
