Did Jeff Bridges Tease a Big Lebowski Sequel?

Jeff Bridges took to Twitter to tease what appears to be a Big Lebowski sequel.
Bridges wrote, “Can’t be living in the past, man. Stay tuned.” He also included a short teaser video which showed Bridges as his character, The Dude.

The teaser trailer ends with a tumbleweed rolling across the screen and revealing a date, February 3, 2019.
The Big Lebowski released almost two decades ago on March 6, 1998. It would rake in over $46 million at the box office, a box office disappointment at the time.
The film, written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, would go on to become a cult classic and was even chosen to be included in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress because it was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.
The film sees Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski become embroiled in a complex kidnapping case after he is mistaken for a millionaire of the same name.
A spin-off to the Big Lebowski was filmed in 2017 following John Turturro’s character Jesus Quintana. The film, Going Places, was written and directed by Turturro.
The original Big Lebowski film had a star-studded cast with Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Julianne Moore, Steve Buscemi, David Huddleston, Philip Seymour Hoffman, John Turturro, Sam Elliot, and Tara Reid.
