Star Wars and Indiana Jones Icon Harrison Ford Calls Climate Change “Greatest Moral Crisis of Our Time”

Star Wars and Indiana Jones icon Harrison Ford revealed a pre-recorded ahead of his appearance at the World Government Summit in Dubai. In the video where he addresses climate change describing it as the “greatest moral crisis of our time.”

Watch:

Ford begins the video by asking, “What does living in a four degrees warmer world look like?” He then goes on to describe a number of problems that he believes are caused by climate change, “Fresh water shortages, higher greenhouse gas emissions, unprecedented fires, world wide destruction. Is this the world we want?” Ford continues, “Our planet, the only home we’ve got, is suffering. This is the bare truth. This is our reality.”

Ford then asks viewers to take action, “It’s up to you and me to act now, to face the greatest moral crisis of our time. To take action. It is time to make a difference. It affects you. Climate action now.”

This isn’t the first time Harrison Ford has made this claim. Last September Ford spoke at the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco where he called climate the “greatest moral crisis of our time.” He would state “those least responsible will bear the greatest costs. We are s*** out of time.” According to the Huffington Post, he warned “the future of humanity was at stake.”

In his speech in September, Ford would also target politicians saying, “stop giving power to people who don’t believe in science, or worse than that, pretend they don’t believe in science for their own self-interest.” He added, “They know who they are. We know who they are.”

What do you make of Harrison Ford’s video on climate change? Do you agree with him and believe climate change is the “greatest moral crisis of our time?” Do you buy into climate change theory?
