Rumor: The CW’s The Flash Star to Exit Show After Season 5

A new rumor indicates that The Flash star Carlos Valdes will exit the show after the fifth season. Valdes who plays Cisco Ramon on The Flash has been a staple of the show’s line up for five seasons.

We Got This Covered reports that Valdes will leave the show despite it being renewed for a sixth season.  According to the site, Valdes “wants to move on to new pastures and plans to leave the show once this season’s done.” With Valdes rumored to leave the show, We Got This Covered speculates that his character Cisco Ramon won’t be killed off, but will instead be written off in a way that will allow him to return in a similar vein to Willa Holland’s exit from Arrow. If if the Arrowverse has a need for Cisco’s talents, there is a possibility for an easy return for the fan favorite.

Carlos Valdes’s Cisco Ramon was one of the original cast members of The Flash. In fact he was first introduced in Season 2 of Arrow before making his debut on The Flash. Valdes has appeared in 115 episodes of The Flash according to IMDB along with three episodes of Supergirl, six episodes of Arrow, and three episodes of Legends of Tomorrow. He’s also lent his voice talents to Freedom Fighters: The Ray, Vixen: The Movie, and the Vixen series on CW’s Seed.

As of late Valdes hasn’t been featured as much missing the most recent episode “Goldfaced.”

However, Valdes is expected to return in the upcoming episode of The Flash titled “Cause and XS.”Cisco is expected to have a rare night off from developing the metahuman cure to take Kamilla on a date.
