Captain Marvel Star Samuel L. Jackson Says President Trump’s Got “A Big Plantation”

Captain Marvel star Samuel L. Jackson responded to President Donald Trump’s tweet regarding Spike Lee’s speech at the Oscar’s saying President Trump’s got a “big plantation.”

Jackson, who presented Spike Lee with the director’s first Oscar for BlacKkKlansman. He won for Writing (Adapted Screenplay). While accepting his award, Lee called for Americans to “mobilize” against President Donald Trump in 2020.

He would say, ““Let’s all mobilize. Let’s all be on the right side of history.” He would add, ““Make the moral choice between love versus hate. Let’s do the right thing. You know I had to get that in there.” The director also stated during his acceptance speech, “400 years. 400 years our ancestors were stolen from mother Africa and brought to Jamestown, Virginia. Enslaved. Our ancestors worked from can’t see in the morning to can’t see at night.”

According to Ebony, Lee was visibly angry after Green Book won the Oscar for Best Picture beating out his BlacKkKlansmen and he attempted to storm out of the theater before he was stopped and returned to his seat.

Lee would elaborate on his reaction to Green Book winning saying, “No, I thought I was court side at the Garden and the ref made a bad call.”

President Trump would take issue with Spike Lee’s Oscar speech calling it a “racist hit” and stating that he “has done more for African Americans (Criminal Justice Reform, Lowest Unemployment numbers in History, Tax Cuts, etc.) than almost any other Pres!”

Samuel L. Jackson responded to Trump’s Tweet when he was questioned about it by TMZ.

Jackson would first say that President Donald is “too sensitive.” When he was pressed for further comment he would state, “Yeah, he’s got a big plantation.” When asked about Spike’s actions during the Green Book speech, Jackson simply stated, “Come on, man.”
