Report: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Black Adam Movie to Feature Hawkman

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s long gestating Black Adam movie is now reportedly to include Hawkman.
A new report from That Hashtag Show indicates the long-rumored Black Adam movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will feature Black Adam facing off against Hawkman.
They indicate this comes after New Line Cinema hired Adam Szytkiel to write a new script for the Black Adam movie. They indicate the script is influenced by Geoff Johns’ work in the 2000s in JSA with fellow writer David Goyer.
Not only does the script allegedly feature a showdown between Black Adam and Hawkman, but it will also feature Atom Smasher and Stargirl.
In Johns and Goyer’s JSA run, they created a new origin for Black Adam where he is from the fictional North African region of Kahndaq. He is also no longer a villain, but actually asks to join the Justice Society of America whose members include Hawkman, Atom Smasher, and Stargirl.
However, Black Adam would defect alongside Atom Smasher and form his own team that isn’t afraid to execute criminals who have been acquitted by the justice system.
The Justice Society of America and Black Adam’s team would eventually find themselves pitted against each other when Black Adam turns his eye on his homeland of Kahndaq and decides to lead a rebellion against the dictator.
The story saw Atom Smasher and Stargirl on opposite sides of the battle as well as opposite sides of a moral argument the book explores.
If DC does plan on adapting the [easyazon_link identifier=”1401204805″ locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Black Reign[/easyazon_link] story by Johns, it’s possible there will be quite a bit more DC heroes making an appearance.
The report indicates DC is looking for an actor between the ages of 30 and 39 to play Carter Hall aka Hawkman and that they need “someone the audience can believe could go toe-to-toe with Brahma Bull!”
As for Stargirl and Atom Smasher they are looking for actors aged 20 to 29.
