Game of Thrones Actor Maisie Williams Drops F-Bomb in Update on New Mutants

Actress Maisie Williams dropped the F-Bomb when providing an update on the New Mutants movie.

Williams spoke with Rolling Stone where she stated, “Who knows when the f*** that’s gonna come out.”

In fact, Williams stated that there were supposed to be reshoots to make the film “scarier,” but those reshoots haven’t happened. Williams even recounted running into Stranger Things actor and New Mutants co-star Charlie Heaton where she asked, “What the f*** is going on with this movie?” Williams recalled that Heaton seemed just as in the dark about the film as she is.

She would hope that speaking to Rolling Stone might get the wheels turning on the film saying, “Hopefully this interview will make everyone hurry up a little bit!”

Finally, she would indicate she is hopeful that Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey and Williams’ Rahne Sinclair aka Wolfsbane will eventually meet up later in an X-Men centric movie. Williams stated, “It would be ridiculously stupid if they didn’t do that.”

The New Mutants film has seen its release date moved around quite a bit, it’s currently slated to hit theaters on August 2nd, but recent rumors indicate the movie could be dumped on Hulu.

X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner provided an update on the film while attending FX’s Legion panel at the Television Critics Association back in February. She didn’t have much to say, “They worked hard on it. I want to see it released (theatrically), I’d hate to see it thrown at Hulu.”

However, she noted the film’s fate was in Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige and Disney’s hands, “It’s all in Disney’s playground and they get to decide.”

It’s more than likely that Williams’ Rahne Sinclair and Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey will not appear in an X-Men movie together. Feige and Disney will probably likely introduce new actors for the characters when they  incorporate them into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it’s possible the New Mutants cast might stay in place given the movie’s actual release is still up in the air.

What do you make of Maisie Williams’ New Mutants update? Do you think New Mutants will ever see the light of day? Would you want to see a Jean Grey/Wolfsbane team-up? Do you think Turner and Williams should reprise their roles in potential Marvel Cinematic Universe movies?
