Rumor: Disney Reviewing Fox’s X-Men Franchise – Current Actors Could Be Worked Into MCU

According to our source, Disney is currently reviewing the X-Men franchise and it’s possible they could include the current actors into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

That means it’s quite possible that James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Sophie Turner, and company could be joining the MCU.

However, there is a huge caveat. Our source indicates that Disney will be factoring in the financial success of X-Men: Dark Phoenix. It will also depend on the thoughts of the current X-Men producers as well as the  availability of the actors.

There aren’t any long-range tracking predictions for X-Men: Dark Phoenix yet, but according to Atom Tickets, the film was ranked as the 8th most anticipated film in 2019 behind Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Toy Story 4, The Lion King, Star Wars: Episode IX, and Aladdin.

Atom Tickets does report that fans are “most excited to see Sophie Turner in X-Men: Dark Phoenix.”

X-Men: Dark Phoenix just recently received praise after showcasing 10 minutes of the film at WonderCon.

Deadline reports:

“The 10-minute sequence from the first act of Dark Phoenix wasn’t bad — it was, in fact, the opposite of bad. Which is to say it was good. Very good. Like X-Men: Days of Future Past kind of good.”

They add:

“The crowd cheered enthusiastically for action-packed scenes, which were brisk, evocative, and intense. There was humor and conflict. Team unity and character traits were revealed through action, team division and inner conflict were communicated with subtlety.”

Do you want the current cast of X-Men to make the jump to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Or are there only certain actors you would like to reprise their roles? Do you have high hopes for the X-Men joining the MCU?
