Chris Evans Faces Barrage of Criticism After Announcing Political Website “Where You Can Hear Both Sides”

Chris Evans recently announced his upcoming political website that will reportedly allow folks to “hear both sides of a political issue in a succinct, digestible way.”

In the video on CNN, Evans describes his website, called A Starting Point, as a “one-stop shop for simple digestible information from people who know best.”

Evans does state, “I want to make it clear that this website has nothing to do with my political opinion.” He adds, “it’s not about my political opinion. This is about yours. This is a chance for you to talk about issues that matter to you.”

Evans has reportedly interviewed a number of politicians including Cory Booker, Lisa Murkowski, Tim Scott, Ted Lieu, Jim Risch, Chris Coons, and more.

Following the announcement, Evans faced a barrage of criticism.

There were plenty of encouraging comments as well.

What do you make of Evans’ new idea? Do you think this is a good idea or do you think he’s being highly naive about the current political spectrum? Do you believe he will be able to keep his own personal politics out of the website?
