Boss Logic Creates Epic Fan-Made Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Poster Featuring Mark Hamill

Graphic artist Boss Logic mocked up a pretty epic poster featuring Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker for the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker film.

As you can see below, the poster shows Hamill’s Luke Skywalker sitting cross-legged using the Force to elevate himself. Not only is he using the Force to elevate himself, but he’s also manipulating the Earth and rocks surrounding him. It’s possible he might be creating a new lightsaber as he holds some kind of Force ball in his left hand.

Take a look.

Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker might not actually be seen in the latest teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but his presence is felt as he provides a voice over for much of it. It’s quite possible the title is referring to Luke ascending beyond a Force Ghost and creating an everlasting legacy in the Star Wars universe.

J.J. Abrams discussed the title of the film with Entertainment Tonight:

“Well, the title feels like it’s the right title for this movie. I know it’s provocative and asks a bunch of questions but when you see the movie you’ll see how it was intended and what it means. But in the flow of titles this title had a very  big responsibility, it had to be the end of not only three movies, but nine movies.”

Abrams adds:

“The idea of having to incorporate the stories that have come before, strangely is the story of the movie. It’s the characters in the film inheriting everything that’s come before in previous generations, whether it’s the sins of the father or the wisdom that they’ve acquired, and the question is, is this new generation up to the task, can they stand up to what they have to. So in a way, we came to this movie having inherited a lot, and the question is can we do it. It’s a question we ask ourselves everyday.”

What do you make of Boss Logic’s The Rise of Skywalker poster? What do you think the title for the film means?
