Report: Vic Mignogna Special Feature Removed From Dragon Ball Super: Broly Blu-ray/DVD

Fans report that the recent Blu-ray and DVD release of Dragon Ball Super: Broly is missing a special feature notably the Q&A with Broly voice actor Vic Mignogna.

Twitter users Daddy Senpi and Monly both reported the Blu-ray and DVD did not feature the advertised Vic Mignogna Q&A segment.

Monly pointed out that the Q&A with Vic Mignogna was advertised as part of the Blu-ray on Amazon.

In fact, if you go to the [easyazon_link identifier=”B07MLB1DBG” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Amazon listing for Dragon Ball Super: Broly[/easyazon_link] (Archive link: http://archive.is/DLRi3) you will in fact see that the special features include “Vic Mignogna Answers Your Questions.”

Not only was the feature advertised on Amazon, but it was also featured on DV Corp (Archive link: http://archive.is/N2d9g)

YouTuber YellowFlash also corroborated the missing feature. He did a video and took time to break down what was advertised by multiple retailers and their websites. In fact, he also points out that Vic Mignogna was removed the Amazon listing under actors.

Not only did YellowFlash show that the Vic Mignogna Q&A was advertised on Amazon, but he put in his own copy of the DVD and showed that the feature is not included.

YellowFlash also notes that Vic Mignogna does still appear where you see the section for cast and credits.

Mignogna’s special feature being removed from the Blu-ray and DVD comes after Funimation announced they had recast Mignogna in Morose Monokean Season 2 and noted they would “not be engaging Mignogna in future productions.” They fired Mignogna after the voice actor was accused of sexual misconduct citing they performed an internal investigation.

However, a report indicated Funimation had previously conducted an internal investigation into Mignogna and it came back as “inconclusive.

This isn’t the first case of Funimation allegedly erasing Mignogna from Dragon Ball Super: Broly, the company addressed reports after Mignogna’s name had been removed from the iTunes listing of Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Funimation claimed it was simply an error on the iTunes listing and they were working to get it fixed.

Mignogna has repeatedly denied the sexual misconduct accusations against him and has sought a legal team in preparation for a potential lawsuit.

Anime Outsiders’ Cody Baier claims the sexual misconduct allegations against Mignogna are due to him not subscribing to certain political beliefs and the fact he openly espouses his Christian beliefs. Because of this, Vic Mignogna has brought on legal counsel in preparation for a possible lawsuit.

With some, such as Anime Outsiders Cody Baier, claiming that Vic was targeted due to not falling in line with leftist principles. He stated that Vic was targeted due to his Conservative Christian beliefs.

Mignogna’s fellow Dragon Ball Super co-stars have distanced themselves. After Mignogna was reinvited to Kamehacon, Monica Rial, who is one of Vic’s accusers, and others including Daman Mills dropped out of Kamehacon and organized her own signing at a local comic shop in the area.

What do you make of the Q&A with Vic Mignogna not being part of the Dragon Ball Super: Broly Blu-ray and DVD? Do you think Funimation intentionally removed that section?
