Actor and frequent Saturday Night Live Trump impersonator Alec Baldwin took aim at Senator Lindsey Graham on Twitter. In a Tweet, he called the South Carolina Senator “Trump’s fluffer.”

Baldwin wrote on Twitter, “How is it that God -fearing Americans from South Carolina believe that , who is nothing more than Trump’s fluffer, passes as worthy of a seat in the US Senate?”

A fluffer is a person in the adult entertainment industry whose job is to get male performers ready to perform.

Baldwin was heavily criticized for attacking Graham with many calling out his language and claiming Baldwin was being homophobic.

Others were happy to pile on, and added to the vile being thrown at Senator Graham:

Baldwin appeared to target Lindsey Graham due to the Senator’s comments regarding the recent Mueller report.

On Wednesday, the Senator defended President Trump from claims and allegations of collusion with the Russian government. This came after the Senator read quotes from former FBI agent Peter Strozk’s text exchange with his lover in where he claimed he would do what he could to keep Trump from ascending to the oval office.

On the matter of the Mueller Report, which was charged with investigating possible collusion and Russian interference, Graham stated I appreciate very much what Mr. Mueller did for the country. I have read most of the report. For me, it is over.”

This isn’t the first time that Hollywood has used homophobic language and insinuation against the Senator.

At the beginning of the year, Captain America actor Chris Evans referred to Senator Graham as “Smithers” the famous closeted character from the Simpsons.

Former Hellboy Ron Perlman also used similar homophobic language against Senator Graham. Last November, in a now-deleted Tweet, the actor openly stated that Senator Graham needed to perform oral sex in order to become the Attorney General of the United States after then AG Jeff Sessions stepped down.

Kathy Griffin also when after Graham by calling him “Miss.” It’s a slur used against gay men to claim that they are more woman than man due to their sexuality:

Comedian Rosie O’Donnell also used homophobic language to go after Grahm during the Kavanaugh Confirmation hearings calling him a “closeted idiot”.

What do you make of Alec Baldwin’s attack on Lindsey Graham? Do you believe he was being homophobic?
