Report: Midnight Showings for Spider-Man: Far From Home Will Be Available

Spider-Man: Far From Home recently released a brand new trailer as they announced that tickets for the upcoming flick starring Tom Holland went on sale.
Our source tells us the movie will have midnight showings beginning at 12:01 a.m. local time on July 2nd. These midnight showings will stand in for the loss of early screenings after the film’s release date was changed to extend the July 4th holiday weekend.
This same source previously confirmed that tickets would go on sale at 9 a.m. ET this morning. Our source has also told us the film’s runtime is 130 minutes, putting it just over 2 hours.
The latest trailer definitely has huge implications for the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward. The trailer appears to embrace the idea of a Marvel multiverse first heavily explored in Doctor Strange and then advanced in Avengers: Endgame with the creation of multiple realities and timelines in order to defeat Thanos, not to mention Captain America enjoying a long life with Peggy Carter in at least one of those alternate realities.
In the trailer, Nick Fury introduces Spider-Man to Jake Gyllenhaal’s Quentin Beck aka Mysterio. Mysterio is quick to state, “We could have used someone like you on my world.” Nick Fury explains, “Beck is from Earth just not ours. The Snap tore a hole in our dimension.” Then we hear Spider-Man question, “You’re saying there’s a multiverse?”
Fans have already clung to the idea of the multiverse as many believe this is how they will introduce the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Miles Morales.
And they definitely have a reason to believe it. In a Q&A session in China, Joe Russo explained the final scene in Avengers: Endgame with Captain America detailing that Steve Rogers created an alternate universe when he returned the Infinity Stones to their appropriate time periods.
“Nope, not a time loop. Both The Ancient One and Hulk were right. You can’t change the future by simply going back to the past, but it’s possible to create a different alternate future. It’s not a butterfly effect. Every decision you made in the past could potentially create a new timeline. For example, the old Cap at the end movie, he lived his married life in a different universe from the main one. He had to make another jump back to the main universe at the end to give the shield to Sam.”
Russo would elaborate on Cap’s choice to live out his life with Peggy Carter:
“To me, Captain America’s action, in the end, wasn’t the fact he wanted to change anything, it’s more like he has made a choice. He chose to go back to the past and lived with the one he loved for the rest of his life. The time travel in this movie created an alternate reality. He lived a completely different life in that world. We don’t know how exactly his life turned out, but I’d like to believe he still helped many others when they were needed in that world. Yes, there were two Captain Americas in that reality, it’s just like what Hulk said, what happened in the past has already happened. If you go back to the past, you simply created a new reality. The characters in this movie created a new timeline when they went back to the past, but it had no effect on the prime universe. What happened in the past 22 movies was still canon.”
Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 2nd at 12:01 a.m. local time.
