Report: Bond 25 Suspends Filming After Daniel Craig Suffers Injury

Bond 25 reportedly suspended filming after James Bond actor Daniel Craig suffered an ankle injury during an action scene taking place in Jamaica.

The Sun reports Craig was flown to the United States for X-Rays after “he fell while sprinting on set.” Their source described the incident:

“Daniel was suited and booted for one of the last scenes in Jamaica. He was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly. He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle. As you’d expect he was also pretty angry that it had happened. He threw his suit jacket on the ground in sheer frustration.”

Their report also indicates that Bond 25 canceled upcoming filming at Pinewood Studios in London due to Craig’s injury. Their source does indicate that Craig has already been examined by a specialist and they indicate it is the same doctor who treated Tottenham striker Harry Kane after he suffered an ankle injury.

“Daniel flew out of Jamaica for the US and has already seen a specialist. In a pure coincidence it’s the same surgeon who treated Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane. He’s hoping it won’t delay things for too long.”

It’s unclear how long Craig might be out or how it will affect production on Bond 25. It’s possible he could be back on set very quickly. Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner broke his arm filming [easyazon_link identifier=”B07G7Y9MHB” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Tag[/easyazon_link], and remained on set to film a scene where he was supposed to surf down a stack of falling chairs. In fact, after having a cast placed on his arm, Renner details he went back on set the same day to continue filming.

As for Craig, this is not the first time he has been injured while playing James Bond. In his first appearance as the British spy, Craig lost two of teeth while performing a stunt for [easyazon_link identifier=”B0067CB072″ locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Casino Royale[/easyazon_link].

He detailed a number of his injuries in an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in 2015. He explains he had his right shoulder reconstructed and both of his knees operated on.
