Gone Girl Actress and Model Emily Ratajkowski Poses Nude in Response to Alabama Abortion Bill

Gone Girl actress and model Emily Ratajkowski took to Instagram where she posted a nude photo in protest of the recent Alabama abortion bill.
Ratajkowski wrote, “This week, 25 old white men voted to ban abortion in Alabama even in cases of incest and rape.”
She continued, “These men in power are imposing their wills onto the bodies of women in order to uphold the patriarchy and perpetuate the industrial prison complex by preventing women of low economic opportunity the right to choose to not reproduce.”
Ratajkowski added, “The states trying to ban abortion are the states that have the highest proportions of black women living there. This is about class and race and is a direct attack on the fundamental human rights women in the US deserve and are protected by under Roe vs. Wade. Our bodies, our choice.”
Ratajkowski’s Instagram post comes after Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed H.B. 314 into law. Ive issued a statement regarding the bill, “Today, I signed into law the Alabama Human Life Protection Act, a bill that was approved by overwhelming majorities in both chambers of the Legislature. To the bill’s many supporters, this legislation stands as a powerful testament to Alabamians’ deeply held belief that every life is precious and that every life is a sacred gift from God.”
Ivey indicated the bill was passed in order to challenge Roe v Wade:
“Many Americans, myself included, disagreed when Roe v. Wade was handed down in 1973. The sponsors of this bill believe that it is time, once again, for the U.S. Supreme Court to revisit this important matter, and they believe this act may bring about the best opportunity for this to occur.”
Ratajkowski is not the only Hollywood celebrity to oppose the recent pro-life bills. Former Charmed actress Alyssa Milano led a campaign of Hollywood actors to call for a boycott of the state of Georgia if they passed their pro-life heartbeat bill. Milano would be joined by Avengers: Endgame actors Mark Ruffalo, Tessa Thompson, and Don Cheadle in calling for Hollywood to boycott the state. The bill was passed into law.
Following the bill being passed, Milano called for a sex strike. Westworld actress Evan Rachel Wood would also respond to the Georgia bill suggesting that men get “mandatory vasectomies.”
Resident Evil and Hellboy actress Milla Jovovich would also respond to the pro-life bills detailing her own experience with abortion. She described it as “horrific” even calling it her “personal hell.”
Former Superman actor Dean Cain took a very different approach describing Milano’s sex strike as an “absolute joke.” He would add, ““Hollywood pretending to be the bastion of moral superiority is an absolute joke, because Hollywood is not by any stretch of the imagination.”
