Exclusive: When Disney’s Lion King Tickets Go On Sale – New Trailer Likely

Disney’s Lion King from director Jon Favreau is just around the corner and our source has exclusively revealed to us when you will be able to purchase tickets for the live-action remake.

My source tells me Lion King tickets will go on sale beginning Monday June 24th at 6:00 AM PT. That means they will be on sale at 9 AM ET. This is the Monday after the release of Toy Story 4.

Theaters will be able to reveal their showtimes beginning on Wednesday June 19th.

It’s more than likely Disney will also release a new trailer announcing the tickets have gone on sale on Monday, June 24th.

For almost all of Disney’s releases this year, they have released trailers on the day tickets went on sale. That includes Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel, Aladdin, and Dumbo.

Here’s the official description for Disney’s The Lion King:

“Disney’s “The Lion King,” directed by Jon Favreau (“The Jungle Book”), journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

Staying true to the classic story, director Jon Favreau utilizes pioneering filmmaking techniques to bring the iconic characters to the big screen in a whole new way. Featuring the voices of Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon, Disney’s “The Lion King” opens in U.S. theaters on July 19, 2019.”

Here’s a tease of Beyoncé performing “Come Home.”

Will you be purchasing your tickets the moment you can get them? Do you plan on seeing Disney’s The Lion King?
