Avengers and Justice League Director Joss Whedon: “We Have A Racist, Fascist President”

The Avengers and Justice League director Joss Whedon celebrated the United States of America’s Independence Day by claiming that President Donald Trump is a “racist, fascist president.”

Whedon would not stop there. He would also claim that President Trump is “using armed thugs in law enforcement & illegal militias to keep us cowed & hopeless.” He added, “He’ll take the 2020 election by armed force & blatant, treasonous criminality.”

Whedon has made it a point to go after not only Donald Trump, but his wife Melania and his daughter Ivanka in the past.

In April of last year, Whedon wished for Donald Trump to die. In a now-deleted tweet, Whedon wrote:

“Donald trump is killing this country. Some of it quickly, some slowly, but he spoils and destroys everything he touches. He emboldens monsters, wielding guns, government power, or just smug doublespeak. Or Russia. My hate and sadness are exhausting. Die, Don. Just quietly die.”

The director claimed Ivanka Trump is from “a crime family, she married into a crime family.” He added, “She will do as much damage as she can get away with.”

Whedon has been dealing with his own personal demons. In 2017, Whedon’s ex-wife Kai Cole accused Whedon of being a “hypocrite, preaching feminist ideals.” She reports that he confided in her about how he felt when he was the producer on Buffy.

“When I was running ‘Buffy,’ I was surrounded by beautiful, needy, aggressive young women. It felt like I had a disease, like something from a Greek myth. Suddenly I am a powerful producer and the world is laid out at my feet and I can’t touch it. I would have to lie — or conceal some part of the truth — for the rest of my life.”

Despite, dealing with his own personal problems and attacking Donald Trump, Whedon is working on a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot and HBO picked up his upcoming science-fiction drama The Nevers.

What do you make of Joss Whedon’s recent comments about Donald Trump and the state of the United States of America?
