DC Comics Artist Joe Quinones Imagines Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson as a Jedi Knight!

DC Comics artist Joe Quinones recently posted a mock up of Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson as a Jedi Knight. Quinones is currently doing artwork on [easyazon_link identifier=”140129443X” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Dial H for Hero[/easyazon_link].

Quinones took to Twitter to share the art piece captioning it, “Brie Larson: Jedi Knight edition.”

The image is more than likely inspired by Larson’s own comments.

While promoting Captain Marvel back in February, Samuel L. Jackson told EW how his popularity as an actor soared after starring as Mace Windu in the Star Wars prequel trilogy.

Larson, who was in the interview with Jackson, would indicate that she wanted to be a Jedi. She stated, “It’s so cool. I wish I was a Jedi.”

She then went onto recall that Jackson brought his lightsaber to the set of Captain Marvel to show her.

“I got to hold his lightsaber! He brought it to me on set on May the 4th, and I cried. It was so cool. I wanna be a Jedi.”

Larson also made an appearance at Disney’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California to promote the opening of the new section of the park.

While promoting the opening she ran into the voice actress of Ahsoka Tano, Ashley Eckstein, who detailed that Larson was a “clearly a big Star wars fan!”

Eckstein even noted she will “continue to dream of the fan fiction in my head where Ahsoka Tano and Captain Marvel team up to save the Universe.”

It’s unlikely that Larson will make the jump to the Star Wars franchise any time soon given Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has heralded Larson and Captain Marvel as the lead of the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward.

Feige told Uproxx in March:

“When we found out that Brie Larson might be interested in joining our world, we had a number of meetings. She was a huge fan of the character in the comics. One of the highlights of my career at Marvel was introducing her at Comic-Con and having her come out on stage and stand there with literally almost everybody else from our movies. There she was at the forefront, and it was a great foreshadowing – not just for how audiences are going to embrace Brie as this character, but also for how Captain Marvel is about to take the lead and be at the forefront of the entire Cinematic Universe.”

However, it’s possible Larson could join Eckstein in a voice acting role in an upcoming Star Wars animated series. Disney recently announced a new season for The Clone Wars that will debut on Disney+. They are also airing Star Wars Resistance on Disney XD. It’s possible she could make a guest appearance on the show similar to Anthony Daniels reprising his role as C-3P0.

It’s also possible Larson could find a role in the upcoming live-action Star Wars TV series for Disney+. She might find a cameo in The Mandalorian or the unnamed Rogue One spin-off featuring K2-SO and Cassian Andor. There are also three upcoming Star Wars films on the schedule where Larson might be able to join the Star Wars universe.
