Fire Emblem: Three Houses Season Pass Expansion Details Announced

Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Nintendo confirmed they will have paid DLC as well as free updates for the game earlier this month.

Details about the DLC and free updates have been sparse. However, Nintendo did reveal that there will be four waves that will begin sometime after launch and will be released up until April 30, 2020.

According to Nintendo Life, the waves will include “new maps, costumes, and playable characters.”

Players will be able to get new Officer Academy outfits for both the female and male Byleth beginning today (launch day). That will be followed up by new battle maps, in-game support items, and more on October 31, 2019.

The third wave is expected to include more quests and costumes on December 31st.

Finally, they plan on adding new story content, playable characters, and locations on April 30, 2020.

While details on the specifics are sparse, Nintendo confirmed they will also be including an even harder game mode in a free update later this year.

Go Nintendo also translated a Famitsu interview with Fire Emblem: Three Houses’ Director Toshiyuki Kusakihara and Series Director Genki Yokota.

Yokota detailed that the expansion pass would not include story content following the main story.

“The Expansion Pass is only made of side-stories. It won’t contain story content happening after the main story. We’re also planning to add new characters with it. It’ll have a lot of content, so please look forward to it.”

The expansion pass is available to purchase for $24.99. You can also bundle it with the main game for $84.98.

Players who do purchase the game will also be able to unlock a 5 star Byleth: Tested Professor in the Fire Emblem Heroes mobile game.
