Not only did we get new details about the Pokemon in Sword and Shield, but we also got information on the rivals, Team Yell as well as Galarian Evolutions.

But first check out the new trailer.

Nintendo of America’s Twitter Account then provided us with a bunch of new details.

Galatian Pokemon

According to the new information provided on Galatian Pokemon, players will get to experience and deal with Pokemon, who though are from the same species found in other regions, have fundamentally changed due to their current environment. But it’s not just new versions of Pokemon we’ve seen from other regions. Due to the differences found in Galar, Pokemon there have developed a whole new array of new and unique evolutions that are only found in Galar. Here is an example, the Galarian Linoon evolves into a whole new Pokemeon called Obstagoon.

Form-Changing Pokémon

Galar’s effect on Pokemon evolution doesn’t end there. There are a few Pokemon who’ve adapted to the region by turning into what’s called a “Form-Changing Pokemon.” This allows them to change both their appearances as well as their type and abilities. One example is Morpeko.

Rivals in the Galar Region

Many trainers from across the region take part in the Gym Challenge, a competition in which participants face the various Gyms of Galar with the hopes of becoming the Champion. Two rivals that Trainers will compete with on their adventures are Marnie and Bede.

Team Yell

Ever see noisy and troublesome superfans who are willing to do anything to see their favorite celebrity win? Well, in Pokemon; Sword and Sheild, you get to experience this with Team Yell. Yell is a group of people who you will have to face and fend off as they do everything possible to get their favorite trainer, Marnie, to become Champion.

For K-Pop fans just think of Knetisons.

They will get in your way, over hotel lobbies, prevent you from accessing transportation, and even try to distract trainers in the midst of a battle with shouts!

To make matters worse, whenever the trainer Marnie battles you, you can count on Team Yell to be there, showing their support with Marine-print towels and horns.

Poké Jobs And You!

Poké Jobs are a unique feature of the Galar region. There the people work with Pokemon more often than not. Because of this, the players will see corporations and universities send out requests for the help of Pokemon and their trainers through the Poke Jobs program. As a trainer, you can find these postings at the Rotomi in Pokemon centers.

From there you will be able to send your Pokemon, even from the box, to any job they accept. As with anything Pokemon related, different jobs are best suited for specific types of Pokemon. So it’s good to keep an eye on what the job is and who you wish to send to complete it. By allowing your Pokemon to complete jobs they will gain valuable experience and at times you might even get some rare rewards and gifts!

Speaking of Rotmoi, Its a new computer that you’ll find in each Pokemon Center in Galar. Like in previous games you can access your Pokemon storage box as well as the aforementioned Poke Jobs.

Rotomi

There are many other features that have yet to be released, but we can expect to find out soon enough. Catch Pokemon: Sword and Pokemon: Shield as it makes its way to the Nintendo Switch November 15th.
