Former Disney Channel star Bella Thorne, who starred in Shake It Up as CeCe Jones, announced she has directed a pornographic film.

Thorne will debut the pornographic film “Her & Him” at Oldenburg Film Festival in Germany. The film will be part of Pornhub’s Visionaries Director’s Series which the website describes as “debut films by unexpected guest directors to diversify porn production and help create more varied content with multiple types of viewers in mind.” (Related: Paradise City Actress Bella Thorne: “I’m Actually Pansexual”)

In a behind the scenes YouTube video Thorne discussed the film saying:

“What inspired me to do the movie was thinking about this relationship between a male and a female and this fight over dominance and how much that relates to us in our general world besides in a sexual scenario.”

She adds, “The vision behind this story was creating two dynamic characters that could kind of switch off from dominant and submissive. And my vision was originally to make a Christmas horror movie. Instead I made a a very beautiful, ethereal, neon type of vision.”

Thorne would continue, “I’m really lucky that Pornhub wanted to come on and produce this with me because originally I was shopping it around a very long time ago. Things were very different. People are kind of scared to make a movie like this one when it comes to dominance and submissive and between a male and a female and how this relationship can turn quite sour. Because of its sexual orientation, it’s quite a scary project to just jump into because it has some negative physical effects.”

She would also address the fact that the film is pornographic. Thorne stated, “If you think that porn is uncomfortable, I’m sorry that you are uncomfortable. But don’t make other people feel uncomfortable for being okay with it. But at the end of the day it is sex and it’s something that the human body wants. It needs and it constantly craves for it. It’s a very understandable thing and if you are scared of it, that’s fine. To each their own. But don’t tear somebody else down because they are confident with their sexuality and they are okay to admit that.”

Pornhub Vice President Corey Price described the film as a “modernistic, sexually explicit Romeo and Juliet-like depiction of two star-crossed lovers who have an unbridled sexual longing for each other.”

Priced added, “Bella’s creativity and imagination (are) personified through the course of the film, as she takes viewers on a journey of passion and desire.”

Thorne has most recently been promoting her upcoming book, “The Life of A Wanna Be Mogul: Mental Disarry.” While promoting the book she claimed she was molested from age 6 to 14 and that she was “being physically abused all the time.” (Related: Former Disney Child Actor Bella Thorne Claims She Was Molested From Age 6 to 14)
