Rumor: Sony and Disney Still in Talks Over Tom Holland’s Spider-Man – Deal Could Be Signed Within A Week

A new rumor suggests Disney and Sony are still in talks over Spider-Man and a new deal could be signed within a week.
This rumors comes from TVO, the host of the Lords of the Longbox YouTube channel.
According to his source, The Black Knight, TVO states, “Black Knight is hearing from his sources inside Sony and Disney that both sides might reach a new agreement within a weeks time more or less. Right now, we hopefully have a deal in place. They’ve got to iron the details; do the contracts.” He continues, “Contract talks are continuating. (sp?) The Black Knight and Lords of the Long Box want to caution that there is still a possibility that this could fall apart again as we saw prior. It’s business and fragile.” He adds, “However, for now Sony and Disney are more than just dancing they are locked in a groove like Uma Thurman and John Travolta.” (Related: Rumor: Marvel and Disney Offer New Deal to Sony to Keep Spider-Man in MCU)
TVO then discusses orders given to Spider-Man actor Tom Holland during his recent appearance at Keystone Comic Con in Pennsylvania, “Tom Holland was given strict orders at a recent convention not to talk about the Sony/Disney dispute because he may spoil critical information. To clarify, a deal has not been reached yet; however, they are getting close. Still, do not pop the champagne just as of yet. Stay tuned this may be close to a few days. Neither party wants a divorce right now for the sake of the boy. Tom Holland previously discussed the split between Sony and Disney indicating the split was final. (Related: Tom Holland: “The Future For Spider-Man Will Be Different”)
He stated:
“Basically, we’ve made five great movies. It’s been five amazing years. I’ve had the time of my life. Who knows what the future holds? But all I know is that I’m going to continue playing Spider-Man and having the time of my life.”
Holland added:
“It’s going to be so fun, however we choose to do it. The future for Spider-Man will be different, but it will be equally as awesome and amazing, and we’ll find new ways to make it even cooler.”
Marvel Studios producer Kevin Feige would offer his own statement:
“I’m feeling about Spider-Man gratitude and joy. We got to make five films within the MCU with Spider-Man: two standalone films and three with the Avengers. It was a dream that I never thought would happen. It was never meant to last forever. We knew there was a finite amount of time that we’d be able to do this, and we told the story we wanted to tell, and I’ll always be thankful for that.”

“Much of today’s news about Spider-Man has mischaracterized recent discussions about Kevin Feige’s involvement in the franchise. We are disappointed, but respect Disney’s decision not to have him continue as a lead producer of our next live-action Spider-Man film.”
The spokesperson added:
“We hope this might change in the future, but understand that the many new responsibilities that Disney has given him — including all their newly added Marvel properties — do not allow time for him to work on IP they do not own Kevin is terrific and we are grateful for his help and guidance and appreciate the path he has helped put us on, which we will continue.”
TVO believes the negotiations are still ongoing despite these statements. He states, “Contrary to what you may have read or heard or anything, there are still talks ongoing with Sony and Marvel. There is way too much money on the table to be had by both sides for them to just throw this away. There’s stockholders involved. … From what I’m hearing it’s pretty close.”
