Toonami Announces October Premiere Date for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Toonami announced Demon Slayer will be joining it’s fall line-up and revealed it’s premiere date.

Toonami’s official Facebook page made the announcement that Demon Slayer will premiere on October 12th.

They announced, “Step beyond humanity, and cross into the realm of demons. Toonami is proud to announce that Demon Slayer will premiere on October 12th!”

The Demon Slayer anime created by Ufoable and directed by Haruo Sotozaki premiered on April 6, 2019. It is adapted from the Japanese manga series by Koyoharu Gotōge that first premiered in Weekly Shonen Jump back in February of 2016.

The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, who lives a simple life selling charcoal during the Taisho Period in Japan. However, his life is radically altered when demons attack and slaughter his family. He and his sister Nezuko are the only survivors, but Nezuko was transformed into a demon.

Tanjiro becomes a demon slayer in order to save his sister, turn her back into a human, and seek justice for his family by killing the demon that killed them. (Related: New Gundam Anime Trilogy, Hathaway’s Flash, to Release Next Winter – Watch the Teaser!)
