Mark Hamill Describes Ivanka Trump as “Fraud” After Her Star Wars Inspired Tweet

Actor Mark Hamill took to Twitter to describe Ivanka Trump as a “fraud” after she tweeted out a Star Wars inspired message and showed off  her son’s new First Order Stormtrooper costume.

Hamill wrote, “You misspelled “Fraud” #GoFroceYourself”

Ivanka tweeted a picture of her family with one one of her son’s dressed as a First Order stormtrooper. She wrote, “The Force is strong in my family.” The tweet came a day after Disney’s Triple Force Friday marketing campaign.

Hamill’s tweet saw quite a bit of support from who were looking at taking a shot at Ivanka. They specifically enjoyed Hamill’s hashtag “#GoForceYourself”

Others accused Hamill of attacking children, pointing at Ivanka’s child in the Stormtrooper costume and making references to Luke Skywalker’s character choices in The Last Jedi.

Star Wars fan and critic, Anna aka Thatstarwarsgril, responded to Hamill’s Tweet made a pointed reference to the original trilogy noting that Luke and Leia were not condemned due to their relation with their father, who would become the Sith Lord Darth Vader. Hamill wasn’t the only celebrity who decided to target Ivanka and her family for enjoying Star Wars. Patton Oswalt doubted the fact that the force could be strong with their family because of the child being dressed up as a Stormtrooper. Oswalt shows his lack of Star Wars knowledge in the tweet. The tweet shows off a First Order Stormtrooper and not an Original Trilogy Stormtrooper. FN-2187 aka Finn was once a First Order Stormtrooper before he decided to abandon the cause after his unit was ordered to execute a number of innocents on Jakku. Even if it was an original trilogy Stormtrooper, it would not prevent the Force flowing through the Stormtrooper. It could have been Luke Skywalker in disguise from A New Hope when he infiltrates the Death Star and dresses as a Stormtrooper.

In fact, Yoda explains The Force in Empire Strikes Back. “For my ally is The Force. And a powerful ally it is. Life creates it. Makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we. Not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you. Here. Between you. Me. The tree. The rock. Everywhere. Yes. Even between the land and the ship.”

It’s not unheard of for The Force to be strong in Dark Side users as well as we saw with Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader, Count Dooku, Darth Maul, Asajj Ventress, Savage Oppress, and Mother Talzin.

Mark Hamill is no stranger to expressing his dislike for anyone within the Trump family. While promoting his involvement in the Child’s Play reboot, Hamill compared Donald Trump to the Chucky doll claiming that the resemblance to Trump was “Pretty accurate.(Related: Mark Hamill, Aubrey Plaza, and Brian Tyree Henry Compare Chucky to Donald Trump in Child’s Play Reboot)

Hamill even called on Trump’s Hollywood star to be replaced with one for the late Carrie Fisher. (Related: Star Wars and Batman Legend Mark Hamill Calls for Replacing President Trump’s Hollywood Star)
