New My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising Trailer Released with English Subtitles!

A brand new trailer for My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising just hit the internet with English subtitles.

The trailer features the theme song “Higher Ground” by sumika. Check it out.

The trailer shows the rise of the villain Nine who has stolen eight different quirks, giving him nine quirks in total to use.

While we see what looks like Nine’s origin story, the heroes of Class 1-A will head to Nabu island, where they will get to put all of their hard work from UA to the test and take on real hero work.

The trailer definitely teases an epic showdown between Nine, Deku, and Bakugo.

It also introduces two new characters Mahoro played by Tomoyo Kurosawa and Katsuma voiced by Tuka Terasaki.

Along with releasing the trailer and introducing the two new characters, they also officially revealed a brand new poster that had been previously been leaked online.

My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising will premiere in Japan on December 20th.

The movie is directed by Kenji Nagasaki with Yousuke Kuroda writing the script. Yoshihiko Umakoshi returns on character design with Yuuki Hayashi composing the music. The film will be animated by Studio BONES.

It is the second My Hero Academia film. The first film, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, earned $5.7 million at the domestic box office. Box Office Mojo reports it’s the 11th highest grossing anime film of all time at the domestic box office. It would earn $27.5 million worldwide. Total DVD and Blu-ray sales sold over $3.5 million according to The Numbers.
