The Batman’s Jeffrey Wright took to Twitter to compare President Donald Trump to cult leader Charles Manson.

Wright was recently confirmed to play the role of Commissioner James Gordon in Matt Reeves’ upcoming Batman film

In a Tweet related to the current impeachment inquiry in the U.S. House of Representatives, Wright shared a side by side gif of Donald Trump and Charles Manson’s facial reactions.

He captioned the tweet writing, “Happy Halloween, I guess, folks.”

This tweet was in reaction to a video of California Republican Congressman Devin Nunes delivering a speech on the House floor. In the speech, Nunes stated, “What we’re seeing among Democrats on the Intelligence Committee down in the SCIF right now is like a cult. … These are a group of people loyally following their leader as he bounces from one outlandish conspiracy theory to another. And the media are the cult followers.”

This is not out of character for Wright. In early October, Wright took to Twitter to write, “Impeachment this corrupt lowlife clown” in reference to President Donald Trump.

Jeffrey Wright stars as Bernard Lowe in HBO’s Westworld. He also will be seen in the upcoming James Bond film No Time to Die as CIA agent Felix Leiter. Wright also landed the role of The Watcher in Marvel’s What If…? anthology series for Disney+. He will also star as Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming Batman film set to release on June 25th, 2021.
