Alleged Plot Details From The Mandalorian’s Pilot Episode Tease Return of Iconic Star Wars Character

Alleged plot details from the pilot episode of Disney+’s The Mandalorian series tease the return of an iconic Star Wars character.

The alleged plot details were shared on 4Chan, where an anonymous user claims they have already seen the pilot episode, which is set to premiere on Disney+ on November 12th.

Here’s what they had to say:

“It’s good. Really, really f****** good. It took about ten minutes to realize the pilot is disjointed (I don’t think the rest of it will be) in that it’s set up like Memento. There is a story moving forward in the beginning intertwined by flash backs that start close to the beginning and move further in the past.”

They continued:

“The Mando is super mysterious. He doesn’t tell anyone his name in the present or the flashback scenes. It opens like all good Star Wars things do, with a ship approaching a planet. The Mando is tasked with securing “a package” and delivering the package to to a fierce Imperial remnant. At the next to last sequence, the Mando discovers his “package” is a child, a little girl.”

They then explain that the flashback scenes are going to be what people talk about after it premieres on Disney+.

“The flashbacks are what people will talk about. Throughout them you see the Mando assemble a crew, then later (but earlier chronologically) meet the contact who gives him the job, then just before this he gets arrested by stormtroopers who are trying to look for him that he owns easily until he hots his head on an overhang, then earlier he’s searching for something, a ship more than likely, then earlier he gets new armor, then earlier he’s in a big cantina brawl with other bounty hunters, then earlier he’s cloaked and retrieves the old dingy armor from a chest in an abandoned structure.”

The alleged leaker then details that the final shot of the episode hints at not only the true identity of The Mandalorian, but that it is actually Boba Fett and they escaped the Sarlacc Pitt.

“Then the final shot of the episode is a zoom in on the Sarlacc pit and a hand emerging from below grasping onto the ground.”

They concluded writing, “Had me hype. Can’t wait to see people’s reactions.”

While you should definitely take these alleged leaks with a grain of salt, there is the possibility they are true. Back in 2017, a report indicated that Lucasfilm was moving forward with a rumored Boba Fett film. However, that film never came to fruition.

But as we found out recently from Ewan McGregor, the recently announced Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series was originally planned as a solo film. McGregor revealed that tidbit of information to ComingSoon, while promoting his upcoming film Dr. Sleep.

McGregor told them, ““It wasn’t always going to be a series, not initially.”

He then confirmed it was originally going to be a singular film:

“When we first started talking about, that wasn’t really in the cards but everything’s changed so much, so quickly. It’s really exciting that it is now. I’m really into the idea to be able to tell the story over several hours instead of just one hit. I think it’s going to be quite cool.”

It’s quite possible, they repurposed the Boba Fett film for The Mandalorian.

As for the actual details aside from the revelation that The Mandalorian could be Boba Fett, they match up with leaked footage from Star Wars Celebration back in April.

In the clip, The Mandalorian negotiates with what looks to be an Imperial officer played by Warner Herzog. During the negotiations, Herzog’s character requests The Mandalorian bring back an asset to him alive. However, he does note that proof of termination is also acceptable, but will come at a reduced reward.

This lines up with the alleged leaker. However, they provide additional information that the asset is actually a young girl.

The Mandalorian arrives on Disney+ on November 12, 2019.

What do you make of this alleged leak? Do you think The Mandalorian is actually Boba Fett? Or do you think this alleged leak is completely bogus?
