Final Fantasy 7 Remake Scenario Writer Kazushige Nojima Expresses Disappointment in Recent Demo Leaks

Following the leaking of a demo for the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake and subsequent datamining of game details and assets, the game’s scenario director Kazushige Nojima expressed disappointment and frustration towards the leaks.
On January 2nd, shortly after the leaks hit social media, Nojima took to his Twitter page to express his frustration:
リークって、ほんといろんなもの踏みにじってくれるよな。

In a translation provided to USGamer by localizer Tom James, Nojima is reported as being upset over the leaks:
“Basically what he wrote is, ‘This leak sure tramples over a lot of things’. The choice of words he uses emphasizes basically the lack of consideration for the dev team’s own plans and emotions on the matter. It’s the same word you’d actually use when saying someone is trampling over someone else’s feelings in Japanese.”
Thankfully, after receiving an outpouring of support from fans, Nojima replied in English that he felt “healed” by the fans’ encouraging words:

It seems as if Nojima has put the leaks behind him and is looking towards the future, as he soon posted the official music video for Don’t Look Back in Anger by Oasis:

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available for purchase on March 3, 2020 for the PlayStation 4.
