One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 Online Co-Op Modes Announced

Weekly Shonen Jump has revealed that the upcoming One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 musou game will feature online multiplayer in the form of four co-op mission modes.

In a translation provided by Gematsu, the four modes will include:

Giant Boss Battle – Four players cooperate in battles against huge bosses such as Kaido.

Total Bounty Battle – Cooperate with a friend and up your bounty.

Timed Defense Battle – Defend your team’s territory.

Territory Battle – Three teams of four characters fight over territory.

As Gematsu notes, it is currently unknown whether Territory Battle will be a full 12-player mode or will pit four-players with CPU teammates against each other.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 will release in Japan on March 26^th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, with a western release slated for the following day, March 27^th, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

The game will feature a number of pre-order bonuses.

On Steam they include:

• Dynasty Warriors Law Costume
• Dynasty Warriors Hancock Costume
• Vinsmoke Brothers Early Unlock

There will also be a Digital Deluxe Edition of the game.

This edition includes a Character Pass allowing players to unlock 9 players including Charlotte Katakuri early.
