Sebastian Stan Reveals New The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Set Photo Teasing New Superhero Battlestar

Actor Sebastian Stan shared a new set photo from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier that appears to confirm that Battlestar will debut in the series.

Stan shared the image which shows him, Anthony Mackie, Wyatt Russell, and actor Clé Bennett warming themselves up in between takes.

He captioned the photo writing, “ACTING.”

If you look closely you can see that Bennett is wearing a superhero costume and it has a darkened star over his chest.

While this could be any number of Marvel superheroes who wear stars on their chests, it’s likely it could be Lemar Hoskins aka Battlestar.

A rumor from back in November from Charles Murphy detailed that Battlestar would be appearing on the show.

Murphy wrote, “I have learned that the series will also introduce Lemar Hoskins, aka Battlestar, as a partner to John Walker.”

Not only did Murphy indicate that Hoskins would show up, but he shared set photos from Instagram user JustBeachy4stacy that revealed a flower company called Hoskins Family Flowers.

Battlestar was created by Mark Gruenwald and Paul Neary and first appeared in Captain America #323 as a nameless member of the Bold Urban Commandos. He would be referred to as Lemar in Captain America #327.

By Captain America #334 and he takes on the identity of Bucky Barnes alongside John Walker’s Captain America.

The character would take on the name of Battlestar and get his own unique costume in Captain America #341.

Battlestar has a lengthy history with John Walker. As revealed in Captain America #372, Hoskins and Walker first met at basic training at Fort Bragg. The two would then both undergo mental and strength augmentation experiments from the Power Broker. While Walker would become the Super-Patriot, Hoskins became one of his Buckies. The two also had aspirations to become world class fighters.

However, after Walker takes on the identity of the U.S. Agent following a fake assassination attempt, the two find themselves at odds with each other.

It’s quite possible that only will we get a new Captain America in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, but we might also get a new Bucky Barnes as well who eventually takes on the title of Battlestar.

What do you make of Stan’s Instagram post? Do you think Bennett is playing Battlestar? Or do you think he could be playing another character?
