The Mandalorian star Gina Carano, who plays Cara Dune, posted a cryptic message on Twitter that has Star Wars fans questioning if she’s left the show.
Carano took to Twitter to write, “I love the heroes in this business. To the cast and crew of The Mandalorian you are all rock stars and it’s been a pleasure to work beside you. You all know who you are.”

Fans quickly speculated that she might be leaving the show.

The Mandalorian Season 2 is expected to release on Disney Plus in October.
Former Disney CEO Bob Iger told investors during their Fiscal Year 2020 Quarter 1 earnings call, “We also have the highly-anticipated return of The Mandalorian in October and multiple new series from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Nat Geo.”
Series creator Jon Favreau had previously announced that The Mandalorian Season 2 would be coming in Fall 2020.
No casting news has been announced. However, a rumor did drop earlier this month from Charles Murphy and Murphy’s Multiverse that details that Ant-Man director Peyton Reed will direct the first two episodes of Season 2.
Murphy writes, “Peyton Reed is set to direct 2 episodes of the second season of the Disney Plus streaming series, The Mandalorian.”
He also adds that Taika Waititi is expected to return as well, although he doesn’t mention in what capacity. Waititi previously directed episodes of the first season as well as starred as IG-11.
Murphy writes, “Taika Waititi is once again contributing to the series!” He continues, “While it is unclear whether or not Waititi will be directing an episode, helping to produce or coming back to voice another character, the message was clear: he’s been working with show runner Jon Favreau on the second season.”
