Rumor: Thundra To Make MCU Debut In She-Hulk

A new rumor details that Thundra will make her MCU debut in She-Hulk.

The rumor comes from Mikey Sutton in his Geekosity Facebook group.

Sutton writes, “She is a time traveler, and she is so strong she can punch the Thing through a building. In terms of physical power, there are perhaps few women in the Marvel Universe who can be her equal. She’s about to meet one of them in the MCU.”

He adds, “Her name is Thundra, and She-Hulk is about to have a fistful from Femizonia in her face.”

Sutton concludes, “According to insiders, Thundra will make her MCU debut on the She-Hulk TV series on Disney Plus. Whether she is going to appear in the first season remains to be seen, but her character is being developed for the show.”

Thundra was created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema. She first appeared in Fantastic Four #129 back in December 1972. She is a time-traveling warrior from the future where women are the dominant gender in a state ruled by Femizons. Thundra happens to to the “strongest, the bravest, the most powerful” Femizon.

In her first appearance she challenges the Fantastic Four’s Thing and utterly obliterates him.

Thundra doesn’t have a lot of interaction with She-Hulk in the comics. However, in Hulk: Raging Thunder, Thundra travels to the past to combat Hulk in order to acquire his cell samples and impregnate herself.

Her ploy works and she becomes the first woman in four generations in Femizon to become pregnant. Their child would become Lyra aka She-Hulk.

It’s unclear what kind of role Thundra could play in the She-Hulk series. Given Sutton hints that she might not show up until a second season, it’s likely the Marvel Cinematic Universe will look very different from what it looks like now following Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Given she’s a time traveler, it’s possible the Loki series could play into She-Hulk’s arrival in the MCU as well.
