Disney’s Gender Swapped High Fidelity Show Cancelled After One Season, Zoë Kravitz Reacts

Disney’s High Fidelity series has been cancelled after one season on Hulu.
The series which was announced in September 2018 was an adaptation of Nick Hornby’s High Fidelity novel and a remake of the feature film starring John Cusack as Rob Gordon.
The film followed Gordon, the owner of a record store, as he recounted his top five breakups including his current one.
In the remake, which only lasted 10 episodes, upcoming Catwoman star Zoë Kravitz played Robyn ‘Rob’ Brooks.
Kravitz, who was also an executive producer on the series, reacted to the show’s cancellation on Instagram.

She wrote, “I wanna give a shout out to my High Fidelity family. Thank you all for the love and heart you put into this show.”
Kravitz added, “I’m in awe of all of you. And thank you to everyone who watched, loved and supported us. #Breaksupssuck.”

Along with Kravitz the show starred Jake Lacy as Clyde, Da’Vine Joy Randolph as Cherise, and David H. Holmes as Simon Miller.
The show was created by Sarah Kuceska and Veronica West.

The show had an 86% Tomatometer score from critics and an 82% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, that audience score only had 184 user ratings.
On IMDB, the show received a 7.7 rating from 5,008 users.
Among men the show received a 7.3 rating with females giving it a 7.9 rating.
The show also received higher ratings from individuals between the ages of 18-29.
