Dragon Ball Voice Actress Monica Rial to Star As Uzaki Hana in Funimation Dub of Uzaki-Chan Wants to Hang Out!

Funimation has announced that Dragon Ball voice actress Monica Rial will provide the voice of the titular Uzaki Hana in their upcoming Western dub of Uzaki-Chan Wants to Hang Out.
Rial is best recognized Dragon Ball’s Bulma, a role she has performed in all related media since the 2010 production of Dragon Ball Z Kai, as well as Stocking in Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt and Tomoko Kuroki in WataMote.
The prominent voice actress is also known for being one of the initial accusers against former Dragon Ball voice actor Vic Mignogna, having claimed that Mignogna forced himself upon during a past convention appearance and engaged in general acts of sexual harassment during his time at Funimation.

Voice actor Ricco Fajardo (Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak Academy, My Hero Academia) will star opposite of Rial as series protagonist Sakurai Shinichi.
It will be interesting to see how Rial’s casting effects the reputation of the character, as many die-hard supporters of Rial’s career have also accused the Uzaki-chan character of promoting pedophilia due to her busty and anime-stylized appearance.
