Scoopers Vindicated By Announcements Of New Justice League Snyder Cut Scenes And Ben Affleck/Henry Cavill Deals

Justice League-Snyder Cut-Reshoots

The confirmation of new, original scenes being filmed to help complete Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League has a few of the people who broke that and other news months ago doing a victory lap.

YouTuber Warstu, who notes the trades are now reporting as exclusives what his sources told him some time ago, posted a video update about the new scenes and the new deals signed by Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill.

First, he shows that Cultured Nerd and LightCast spoiled there would be new footage filmed around this time with the proper quarantine procedure in place.

Then Warstu plays a clip from an interview Cavill participated in to promote Enola Holmes. With a smile, when asked about signing up for more Superman, he graciously redirected the conversation back to Holmes, starring himself and Millie Bobby Brown.

Warstu sees that as a tacit admission. Cavill would flat-out deny it if he hadn’t signed a new deal.

With that out of the way, Warstu leads his commentary off with confirmation by “the guys with the blue ticks, by the publications, by the trades” – all who denied the existence of a Snyder Cut – new scenes are being filmed.

More than that, extra money is being poured into production already 90% complete, roughly and reportedly. An amount beyond the reported $30 million (it could be closer to $70 mill.), Warstu says the cash isn’t just for re-edits and CGI rendering.

He wonders why this is news when he has been hearing stuff from behind the scenes for months now. Regardless, he cites screenwriter and Forbes contributor Mark Hughes, who can speak freely of what is “now public knowledge.”

“I can say some things I’ve not been able to say before,” the verified Hughes confessed. “The amount of money spent on the Justice League Snyder cut is not a reflection of his original cut…because new footage is being shot beyond just finishing his cut.”

Warstu responded, “You don’t have to work for a big company to know that,” adding “We’ve been saying this for a long time.” By we, he refers and gives props to LightCast and Cultured Nerd.

He continues with what Hughes had to say. The Forbes contributor noted the 90-percent completion of the Snyder Cut and that the increased budget is for editing the Cut into individual episodes and additional footage.

Zack Snyder’s JL, as you may be aware, is going to be a miniseries on HBO Max. And they now admit it was “always there,” which supporters figured out years ago.

They also admit Ben Affleck is returning and so is Cavill, although he shouldn’t need to film any new material, or so he recently claimed. Not that he could fly in, he’s stuck in Europe filming more Witcher.

The new footage should add up to 45 minutes of extra stuff. Filming will reportedly take a week. It’s not clear if Snyder is just polishing his cut or if he’ll rewrite the story a little.

Warstu repeats this is nothing new to anyone following the story or believed in the Cut’s existence, who mostly didn’t have a blue checkmark by their name. He adds we should listen to him, LightCast, and CN when they say something is brewing at Warner Bros. with Snyder and DC.

There is a reasonable hope, Warstu surmises, Snyder isn’t walking away after this and the new scenes will set up The Flash and a reset of the Snyderverse continued in a second Justice League movie like we’ve been hearing.

Justice League: The Snyder Cut drops on HBO Max in 2021. The Flash should be on screens in 2022.
