Current silver-screen Superman actor Henry Cavill can’t wait to see The Snyder Cut of Justice League and believes it’s important Zack Snyder’s complete vision becomes a reality.

Cavill shared his excitement and point of view in a conversation with the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “I’m just really excited to see his vision realized,” he said.

Comparing Snyder to a locomotive, ironically, Cavill added it is important to him for Snyder’s vision to be realized.

“He got to be the train,” said Cavill. “I think it’s only fair that train gets to reach its station which he was aiming for.”

He added, “I think it’s important that that vision is realized.”

As Cavill continued, he revealed he is a firm believer that it’s a creator’s right to see his/her vision reach fruition, and he doesn’t care if you agree.

“Whether you agree with it or not, it doesn’t matter,” said the actor. “It’s a storyteller’s…a filmmaker’s right to have that vision realized.”

He went on, “I’m excited to see it. I’m excited to see what that vision was and how it looks.”

Cavill also thinks The Snyder Cut will be better with Snyder having the benefit of hindsight to aid in the prevention of mistakes.

“[Zack’s] got the advantage of hindsight now,” said Cavill. “It’s going to be even better.” He concluded he cares about seeing a good movie.

Unseen footage of Cavill not marred by a mustache will be in The Snyder Cut, but he made it clear in a previous interview all of it was filmed way ahead of time.

“Not shooting anything additional. No,” he told Collider, adding “It’s all stuff that has been already done” and he is “now just watching the party.”

He further told GQ Snyder and company are “putting the movie together from the footage they shot.”

Busy in Europe filming The Witcher, and given the instituted 2-week quarantine rules for traveling, flying in for no longer than an estimated week to film a few pick-up shots defies comprehension.

Reports of Cavill signing a new deal to play Superman into the foreseeable future with the option to cameo in other DC films are circulating.

When pressed by interviewers, he declines to comment and keeps the focus on whatever he is promoting, e.g., his latest Netflix feature, Enola Holmes.

Justice League: The Snyder Cut makes its long-awaited debut as a four-part miniseries on HBO Max in 2021.
