The Daily Stupid: Sarkeesian Attacks Ninja, Star Wars Steps In It, And More!

Today, we’ve got more stupid involving Anita Sarkeesian, Star Wars, and more.
Let’s get right to it.
1. Anita Sarkeesian Attacks Ninja As Sexist
Feminist Frequency founder Anita Sarkeesian went on one of the dumbest tweet threads to grace the internet in a long while.
As part of her tweet thread she attacked video game streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins as a “sexist.”
Sarkeesian wrote, “In Ninja’s case, as one of the biggest streamers of all time. His constant insistance that he will not stream with women signals his values. He can deny this all he wants but he is signaling to his audience that women are inferior. not good at games. not worthy of his platform.”
She continued, “His audience accepts this, and internalizes this by continuing to participate in a space that perpetuates sexist attitudes. The sexism is pollution that everyone in that community is breathing in.”
She then added, “No, Ninja is not responsible for every single action of every single fan but he *is* responsible for creating an environment that encourages sexist attitudes, especially knowing how prevalent and damaging online harassment is.”
This is a monumentally idiotic take. Not only is it full of lies, but Ninja is the opposite of sexist. He explained why he didn’t stream with female gamers back in 2018 noting it was due to his marriage with his wife Jessica Blevins.
Ninja explained, “If I have one conversation with one female streamer where we’re playing with one another, and even if there’s a hint of flirting, that is going to be taken and going to be put on every single video and be clickbait forever.”
“The only way to avoid that [gossip] is to not play with them at all,” he added.
He went on to state that it was his decision, “That was not even her. She had nothing to do with it. That was me being, ‘I love our relationship,’ and ‘No — I’m not even gonna put you through that.”
It’s the exact opposite of sexist. He’s respecting his wife and showing he loves her. In Anita’s upside down world, she thinks this is sexism.

2. Twitter User Calls Games Featuring Soldiers Fascist
The Daily Stupid isn’t just for big personalities, we cover the little guy here too.
In this case, Twitter user Pannekook decided to call video games like Call of Duty that feature soldiers fascist. I’m not joking.
They wrote, “Call of Duty? Fascist. Gears of War? Fascist. Halo? Fascist. Left for Dead? Fascist. Making a game about being a soldier an enjoyable experience is a fascist endeavor, sorry to ruin your ‘fun.'”
In a follow-up tweet, they then revealed they don’t even play modern video games.
The user wrote, “I’ve tuned out of modern gaming altogether but I’d suspect Fortnite is just as much fascist garbage as the rest.”
Does it get any stupider than this? I’m not sure it does.
3. Star Wars Uses Finn To Virtue Signal
In an attempt to save face from their disastrous firing of Gina Carano from The Mandalorian and their support of Krystina Arielle, who has called white people racist, the official Star Wars Twitter account decided to virtue signal using John Boyega’s Finn character.
They posted to Twitter a quote from Mel Milton, “Storytelling is at the heart of being human and black representation in all media gives us the opportunity to feel like we are a part of the world we are living in. To be seen and heard more gives us a chance to feel like we are understood by those consuming our stories.”
Star Wars continued, “Stories can show how a character can overcome struggles and conflict and to see someone like yourself in that story is a springboard for the imagination.”
Finally, they concluded, “Introduce that to an eager mind of a child and you inspire the next generation of story tellers and beyond.”
Why is this stupid? Well, in China they made sure to reduce Finn’s prominence on the poster. They weren’t really showing him very well were they.
Not only that they made his character a janitor after he was visibly seen as part of Kylo Ren’s initial strike force on Jakku in The Force Awakens. And that was just how they ruined the character in the first film!
Disney and Star Wars you keep stepping in it. Try not to be so stupid in the future! I doubt that will happen though.
4. Sean Penn Calls For Evangelicals To Be Impeached By The Vatican
If you didn’t think most celebrities are complete and utterly ignorant and stupid, this column is sure to change your mind.
The most recent example is actor Sean Penn calling for evangelical leaders to be impeached by the Vatican.
Penn wrote on Twitter, “Evangelical leaders should themselves be impeached by the Vatican if they themselves don’t follow Nikki Haley’s lead & clearly state they should not have followed Satin into the bowels of hell. But, perhaps they are too busy at sex parties.”
Sean Penn, since you clearly don’t know what you are talking about there was this thing called the Protestant Reformation in the 16th Century. It saw numerous sects of people break away from the authority of the Catholic Church. That means they don’t recognize the authority of the Pope in the Vatican.
As Jack Posobiec stated on Twitter, “Don’t do drug, kids.” This is the level of stupid you might descend to if you do.
What a complete dunce.
5. Amazon Is Creating A New Mr. And Mrs. Smith TV Show
Finally, Amazon in all of their brilliance announced they are working on a new Mr. And Mrs. Smith TV show.
If you don’t remember Mr. and Mrs. Smith was a 2005 film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie that tried to be an action romantic comedy as both Pitt and Jolie’s characters were hired to assassinate each other.
While the film did well at the box office, it didn’t do so hot after people actually saw it. It currently has a 58% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Well, Amazon is rebooting the franchise with Phoebe Waller-Bridge, known for being the insufferable robot in Solo, and actor Donald Glover. Francesca Sloane will be the showrunner.
One has to ask, who really wants a TV show about two married wanting to kill each other? What an utterly stupid idea.
