Gina Carano Calls Out Disney and Lucasfilm, Labels Them Bullies And Reveals Their Toxic Work Environment

Former The Mandalorian actress Gina Carano is not staying silent after Disney and Lucasfilm fired the actress via a press statement and attempted to insinuate she was a racist.

A Lucasfilm spokesman announced in a statement that Carano was fired back on February 10th.

The statement read, “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future.”

It added, “Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”

One of the posts in question and the one people on social media that day were trying to fire her for was from her Instagram Stories. It was a screenshot of a post from warriorpriestgympodcast that was warning about how hating your neighbors can lead to extreme violence.

It read, “Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…even by children.”

The post then features a quote that states, “Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?”

Shortly after being fired, Carano would announce the firing would not be the end of her career as she revealed a new project with The Daily Wire. A project she will not only star in, but will also produce and develop.

Carano announced the project stating, “The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true. I cried out and my prayer was answered.”

“I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob. I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same,” she continued.

Carano concluded, “They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them.”

On Twitter she added, “This is just the beginning.. welcome to the rebellion.”

The former MMA fighter would also reveal that Disney and Lucasfilm had attempted to force an apology over her pronoun usage.

She explained to former New York Times columnist Bari Weiss, “Earlier on last year before The Mandalorian came out, they wanted me to use their exact wording for an apology over pronoun usage.”

The actress continued, “I declined and offered a statement in my own words. I made clear I wanted nothing to do with mocking the transgender community, and was just drawing attention to the abuse of the mob in forcing people to put pronouns in their bio.”

For this, Weiss revealed that Disney and Lucasfilm punished her by excluding her “from all press and promotion for the show.”

Later in her discussion with Weiss, Carano revealed that she found out she was fired via social media. She explained, “I found out through social media, like everyone else, that I had been fired.”

Now, in an upcoming interview with The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro, Carano is calling out Disney and Lucasfilm as bullies.

In excerpts obtained from the show released to Deadline, Carano states, “I’ve been through so much, and I’ve seen so much now, clearly, of the bullying that’s been taking place, and I saw it before.”

She continued, “I’m not the only one that’s ever been bullied by this company, and I know that so deeply.”

“I could share a story which would turn things around in the media but I can’t because it would sell out a friend…Everyone is afraid of losing their job,” she added.

The actress would go on to reveal just how toxic the culture at Lucasfilm and Disney is.

She explained, “You know how boxers head-hunt sometimes and forget to go for the body? I feel like Disney or Lucasfilm or whoever it is, just certain people at that company…I feel like I’ve been being head-hunted (…) and you can feel it.”

Carano would then give an example, “Just a couple of weeks ago, Lucasfilm asked an artist that they employ to erase my character and put a different character in place, and he proudly announces this on Twitter, and erases my character and puts another character in place.”

She continued, “All the fans of Cara Dune were just outraged. They were like ‘Why didn’t you add the character? Why did you have to take off the character? Is there something wrong? Is Gina getting fired?”

While Carano would reveal there is a toxic workplace at Disney and Lucasfilm, she also noted that some individuals did go to bat for her, but she didn’t name any names.

She stated, “They accidentally sent me an email, which was very enlightening, so I knew. I knew they were paying attention. I know there were some people who went to bat for me, but I know that they didn’t win out at the end.”

Carano would also point out the obvious double-standard involved in her firing when it comes to what other individuals at Disney and Lucasfilm and involved in The Mandalorian are allowed to post without any repercussion.

She detailed, “They’ve been all over me and they’ve been watching me like a hawk, and I’m watching people on the same production and they can say everything they want, and that’s where I had a problem. I had a problem because I wasn’t going along with the narrative…”

While Carano revealed she found out she had been fired over social media, she notes she had been prepared for it because she’s seen the cancel mob win before.

Carano explained, “I was prepared at any point to be let go, because I’ve seen this happen to so many people. I’ve seen the looks on their faces.”

She continued, “I’ve seen the bullying that takes place, and so when this started, they point their guns at you, and you know it’s only a matter of time. I’ve seen it happen to so many people, and I just thought to myself (…) ‘you’re coming for me, I know you are.’”

“They’re making it very obvious through their employees who were coming for me, and so I was like, ‘I’m going to go down swinging and I’m going to stay true to myself,’” she added.

Carano then called out Disney for their lies and detailed they have a history of lying.

She tells Shapiro, “When you called, my body is still shaking. It’s devastating, but the thought of this happening to anybody else, especially to somebody who could not handle this the way I can, no, they don’t get to do that.”

“They don’t get to make people feel like that (….) and if I buckle, it’ll make it okay for these companies, who have a history of lying, to be lying and to do this to other people, and they’ve done it to other people, and I’m not going down without a fight,” she stated.

Carano’s full interview with Ben Shapiro is expected to run on Sunday on The Ben Shapiro Show.
