Justice League Actor Ray Fisher Accuses DC Films Head Walter Hamada And Warner Bros. Of Destroying His Credibility

Ray Fisher is lodging new charges against DC Films head Walter Hamada and Warner Bros. in the wake of the announcement of J.J. Abrams’ and Ta-Nehisi Coates’ upcoming Superman movie.

Fisher, who has vocally alleged abuse from crew and enabling by producers during his experience on the set of Justice League, has now accused Hamada of destroying his credibility and deligitimizing the investigation into his claims.
Taking a shot at the idea that the next cinematic Superman will be a person of color, and implying it’s more than a rumor and some artful dodging by WB intended to grab positive press, the actor tweeted, “Do ya’ll remember that time Walter Hamada and @wbpictures tried to destroy a Black man’s credibility, and publicly delegitimize a very serious investigation, with lies in the press? But hey, Black Superman… A>E”
In response to Fisher, WB’s lead independent investigator hit back, defending Hamada and his cooperation with the investigation. “I am disappointed by continued public statements made suggesting that Walter Hamada in any way interfered with the Justice League investigation,” said Katherine B. Forrest, a former federal judge, to TMZ. “He did not.”
She continued, “I interviewed him extensively on more than one occasion and specifically interviewed him concerning his very limited interaction with Mr. Fisher. I found Mr. Hamada credible and forthcoming.”
“I concluded that he did nothing that impeded or interfered with the investigation,” Forrest said. “To the contrary, the information that he provided was useful and advanced the investigation.”
Fisher countered Forrest’s comments in a follow-up tweet characterizing her remarks as “misleading and desperate” – which he has said over and over about WB. He also took credit for thwarting Hamada’s supposed interference.
WB repeatedly denied Fisher’s claims and did so again in a new statement. “As we have stated before, an extensive and thorough third-party investigation was conducted,” said a rep for the studio.
“Our executives, including Walter Hamada, fully cooperated, no evidence was found of any interference whatsoever, and Warner Bros. did not lie in the press,” they added. “It’s time to stop saying otherwise and move forward productively.”
It should be noted that, as of writing, Warner Bros. has not officially made any announcements regarding whether the new Superman will be black or if Henry Cavill will return to the role.
However, it is currently rumored that Coates will be developing a ‘Black Superman story‘.
