New Details Announced For Genshin Impact’s Version 1.5 Update “Beneath the Light of Jadeite”

Developer and publisher miHoYo announced new details about Genshin Impact’s Version 1.5 update titled “Beneath the Light of Jadeite.”
The new update will arrive on April 28, 2021 and will introduce new characters in Eula and Yanfei. The update will also explore more of the history of Liyue with the land’s Geo Archon, Zhongli.
It will also introduce new foes and give players their very own personal realm.

Specifically, Version 1.5 will allow players to continue to explore Zhlongi’s history as the second installment of his story quest will be available. Eula will also get her own Story Quest.
It will also introduce more Hangout Events. Diona will get her first one and the second act of Noelle’s will also be available.

Eula

As for the new playable characters, Eula is a five-star character, who wields a claymore and Cryo. She’s called the Spindrift Knight and is the Captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company.
However, she’s actually a descendant of the family that was overthrown by the Knights of Favonius.
Eula’s Elemental Skill is called “Icetide Vortex” and it sees her slash foes with Cryo damage. However, it has different effects depending on whether your tap or hold the skill button.
If you tap her Elemental Skill, she will gain a stack of Grimheart by hitting an opponent. This Grimheart attribute increases her defense and resistance to interruption.
When you hold the skill, she consumes the stacks of Grimheart. Doing so reduces the physical resistance and Cryo resistance of nearby opponents. Not only that, but each stack of Grimheart consumed is converted into an Icewhirl Brand that does Cryo damage to her enemies.
As for her Elemental Burst, it’s called “Glacial Illumination” and deals Cryo damage to nearby foes. It also creates a Lightfall Sword. This Lightfall Sword follows Eula around as it is charged up by her normal attacks, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst attacks. Once it is charged up it explodes for huge damage on enemies.
Eula will be featured in the upcoming Event Wish titled Born of Ocean Swell.
Yanfei

As for Yanfei, she is a four-star catalyst wielder, who has a Pyro vision. She is legal advisor in Liyue Harbor, and is also part illuminated beast, similar to Ganyu.
Her normal attacks, her Elemental Skill “Signed Edict,” and her Elemental Burst “Done Deal” give her Scarlet Seals. These seals decrease her stamina consumption.
She consumes the Scarlet Seals when she uses her Charged Attack. This increases her Charged Attack’s area of effect and damage.
Yanfei will be featured in the upcoming Event Wish titled Gentry of Hermitage featuring Zhongli as well.
Ridge Watch

Version 1.5 will also introduce a brand new Domain called Ridge Watch where Travelers are able to get their hands on two new sets of artifacts, Tenacity of the Millelith and Pale Flame.
Tenacity of the Millelith gives characters a 20% HP bonus in a set of 2. The four piece set increases the attack of all party members by 20% and their shield strength by 30% for 3 seconds when an Elemental Skill hits an opponent. The most interesting part of this set is that it can still be triggered even when the character using the artifact set is not on the field.
Pale Flame increases physical damage by 25% in a set of 2. It’s four-piece set increases attack by 9% for 7 seconds when an Elemental Skill hits an opponent. The effect can stack up to 2 times and be triggered once every .3 seconds. Once you reach 2 stacks, the 2-set effect is increased by 100%.
Azhdaha, Cryo Hypostasis, and Abyss Lector

Version 1.5 also introduces a brand new Trounce Domain opponent in Azhdaha, the “Lord of Vishaps.”
Azhdaha is similar to Stormterror, Childe, and Lupus Boreas as he will offer rare rewards once a week to Travelers who defeat him.
Azhdaha uses multiple elements and even has the ability to alter the battlefield terrain.
miHoYo is also adding a new Boss Enemy in the Cryo Hypostasis. This boss will be located in Dragonspine and like other Boss’s will provide Travelers with Character Level-Up Materials.

The monster has a unique ability where it puts up a shield to protect itself once it reaches low HP. Not only will it enter into this shielded state, but it will continue to attack Travelers.
Another new opponent will be the Abyss Lector, who manipulates Electro Element.

Serenitea Pot

The Serenitea Pot allows Travelers to build their own homes using three different layouts in their very own personal domain.
The three layouts are titled Floating Abode, Emeral Peak, and Cool Isle. Once you get inside the realm, you will encounter Tubby, a Teapot spirit who manages the affairs of the realm.
Tubby plays a key role in upgrading the realm, as you will have to increase your Trust Rank to earn new rewards and access new features.
In order to increase the Trust Rank, you need to create furnishings. Furnishings are created after discovering their blueprints and gathering required resources. It’s also possible to buy furnishings from Tubby.
Adding more furnishings also increases Travelers’ Adeptal Energy, which in turn allows the realm to produce more Realm Currency. Realm Currency is able to be exchanged for a number of Realm Treasures which includes Transient Resin, Hero’s Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ore, Mora, and other items.

There’s also a Teapot Traveling Salesman that sells other goods such as a Northland Hound, Shiba, and Sheriff Cat.
