Rumour: Warner Bros. Wants Wonder Woman Star Gal Gadot To Delete Tweet Praying For End To Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

A few weeks ago, Wonder Woman actor Gal Gadot shared a tweet in which she prayed for the ongoing hostilities between Israel and Hamas to come to an end.

Though Gadot is an Israeli citizen, her tweet was not made in explicit support of her own country, as she instead took a relatively neutral stance that mainly called for peace between the factions involved.

Gadot’s message was initially shared on Twitter on the 12th of May — a day after the armed conflict between Israel and Hamas exponentially escalated — and as of this writing the tweet can still be found on the actor’s Twitter account.

“My heart breaks. My country is at war. I worry for my family, my friends. I worry for my people. This is a vicious cycle that has been going on for far too long,” wrote Gadot. “Israel deserves to live as a free and safe nation, Our neighbors deserve the same.”

“I pray for the victims and their families, I pray for this unimaginable hostility to end, I pray for our leaders to find the solution so we could live side by side in peace. I pray for better days,” the actor concluded.

Unsurprisingly, Social Justice Warriors didn’t take kindly to Gadot’s take on the conflict, as they swiftly attempted to cancel the actor for making her opinion public, despite the inoffensive nature of the message itself.

Though the comment section on Gadot’s tweet was disabled, that didn’t stop the cancel culture mob from voicing their criticisms of the Wonder Woman actor.

However, new information suggests that it wasn’t only fans that took offence to Gadot’s tweet.

As recently reported by industry insider Daniel Richtman via his Patreon account, Warner Bros. has allegedly attempted to force Gal Gadot to “take her words back” in regards to her “controversial” tweet.

According to the people over at We Got This Covered, Gadot has actually refused to meet the studio’s demands.

This shouldn’t necessarily mean that Warner Bros. will be kicking her out of the DCEU — although the situation has “created a bit of friction between the two parties.”

Interestingly, Gadot’s alleged situation bares similarities to that of fellow comic book actress Gina Carano.

Last December, Richtman claimed that, prior to the release of the second season of The Mandalorian, Disney told actress Gina Carano to apologise to the pronoun gang if she wanted a spin-off series of her own.

It wasn’t until February of this year that Gina Carano herself corroborated some of this information, revealing that Disney and Lucasfilm did, indeed, force her to apologise and use “their exact wording for an apology over pronoun usage.”

Though Carano didn’t touch on the possibility of her character from The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, getting a spin-off series, she did confirm that Disney and Lucasfilm had excluded her from all press and promotion for the popular Disney+ series.

If we take the above confirmation of Richtman’s previous scoop into account, it is safe to assume that there’s a good chance his sources could also be in the right when it comes to Warner Bros. attempting to force Gadot to take back her statement on the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
