In a particularly unpredictable video game crossover (but by no means the weirdest one in recent years), MiHoYo and Horizon: Zero Dawn developer Guerilla Games have teamed up to bring Aloy, the Sony exclusive adventure game’s red-headed protagonist, to the world of Genshin Impact exclusively on PlayStation consoles.

In a tweet published to the official PlayStation Twitter account on July 22nd, Guerilla Games and miHoYo surprise revealed that they were “proud to announce that everyone’s favorite machine hunter will join the Genshin Impact roster for a limited time.”

A five-star character, Aloy will bear the title of “Savior From Another World” , the constellation Nora Huntress, and an affinity for the Cryo elemental power, upon her debut in the popular gacha game.

Unsurprisingly classed as a Bow user given the signature gameplay of her respective series, Aloy will also be joined in Teyvat by her signature Predator bow, which will appear in-game as a four-star weapon.

According to its item description, when “dealing Cryo DMG to opponents” Aloy’s Predator will “increase this character’s Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 10% for 6s” for a maximum of two stacks.

Additionally, when equipped by Aloy, Predator’s attack will increase by 66.

As noted by PlayStation in their announcement, Predator will be made available for free via Genshin Impact’s in-game mail to all “Travelers who have reached Adventure Rank 20” sometime “after [Genshin Impact’s] version 2.1 update” but ”before the Version 2.3”, while PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players will get “exclusive access” to Aloy “as of Update 2.1”.

miHoYo concluded their announcement by clarifying that while “Predator (Bow) can be used on any platform”, its effect, Strong Strike, will only apply “when playing on PlayStation.”
