Premiering on October 7th during the New York Comic Con Dragon Ball panel, the trailer warns that the Z Fighters will face “a new crisis” and “an evil organization moving in the shadows,” before ending with a hopeful cry of, “rise up our hero!”

Alongside these teaser messages, the trailer also revealed new looks at the film’s two new Cyborg 009 / Ultraman inspired ‘super heroes,’ Gamma 1 and Gamma 2:

And, the supposed return of Broly, who can be briefly seen punching – and subsequently obliterating – the ground in front of Goku.

However, it should be noted that it is currently unknown whether this is actually Broly, newly arrived on Earth following his narrow escape to Planet Vampa, or some sort of ‘image training’ exercise:

The film’s production team also released new character design sheets for Bulma, Dende, and Korin.

Additionally, Bandai also unveiled a new line of S.H. Figuarts figures based on the film’s principal cast, including Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Gamma 1, and Gamma 2.

As noted at the end of the trailer, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is currently set for a 2022 release.
