Per Deadline, WBTV has issued a statement taking Scott’s side in the social media tidal wave whipped up by Rose after she came forward with her personal account of what it was like working on the founder drama, calling the actor a professional and denying reports of his abusive behavior.

“We condemn the comments made by Ruby Rose about Dougray Scott,” they began. “Warner Bros. has found Mr. Scott to be a consummate professional, and never received any allegation against him of bullying, or of abusive behavior on his part”.

They continued, “Mr. Scott was greatly respected and admired by his colleagues, and was a leader on the set. Warner Bros. Television did not pick up Ruby Rose’s option for an additional season because of multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed by the Studio.”

However, despite the numerous denials of her claims from Warner Bros. and The CW, Rose is not backing down.

Shortly before the studio released their above statement, the actress blasted Scott and Batwoman Greg Berlanti by threatening legal action of her own against the executive producer.

“Dougray,” she wrote in an Instagram story. “I have too many witnesses coming forward with worse than just your anger Issues [stet].. but ur suing me for 10 million cos @gberlanti shared his lawyer with you.. please.. come first so I can use the money from that case to take on g [Berlanti].”

For his part, Scott has denied Rose’s claims and called them “entirely made up,” which may also be the case with the $10 million lawsuit mentioned, as currently no evidence has been provided that Scott has even filed one.

In his own statement, the actor fired back at the accusation he was abusive to female coworkers on the set of Batwoman and reiterated Warner Bros.’ previous claim that Rose was actually let go after the studio received a multiple of complaints regarding her behavior.

“As Warner Bros. Television has stated, they decided not to exercise the option to engage Ruby for season two of Batwoman based on multiple complaints about her workplace [behavior],” he said. “I absolutely and completely refute the defamatory and damaging claims made against me by her; they are entirely made up and never happened.”

Rose has tirelessly taken aim at everyone listed – as well as The CW and Batwoman showrunner Caroline Dries – for what she considers a toxic work environment marked by unconscionable (and well documented) safety issues.

Leaving Batwoman after Season 2, Dougray Scott was once poised to step into the boots and yellow spandex of Wolverine in Bryan Singer’s X-Men after he played the villain in Mission: Impossible 2 opposite Tom Cruise and directed by John Woo, but as we know, his time as the mutant berserker was never meant to be.
