Batman actor Ben Affleck, who is expected to reprise the role in the upcoming The Flash film, recently heaped praise on failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Affleck’s praise of Clinton came during a virtual fundraiser for Clinton’s Onward Together and Eric Holder’s National Democratic Redistricting Committee.
As reported by The Hill, Affleck described Clinton as an “extraordinary person” and a “wonderful role model.”
Clinton reacted to the praise saying, “I hope somebody recorded that introduction because you know, when days are hard, I’m just gonna listen to it again.”
It’s hard to imagine a worse role model than Hillary Clinton, who attacked millions of Americans who were politically opposed to her.
Back in 2016 when she was campaigning for President of the United States at a fundraiser in New York City, Clinton said, “We are living in a volatile political environment. You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?”
She went on to charge these Americans saying, “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”
Not only did Clinton attack her fellow Americans, but she’s repeatedly lied to the families of those killed in the terrorist attack on a United States’ compound in Benghazi in 2012.
As reported by the New York Post, Clinton told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos that she did not tell families that the terrorist attack was inspired by a film.
However, multiple family members of the victims of the terrorist attack claim that Clinton did indeed tell him the attack was inspired by a film.
Tyrone Wood’s father said, “She said we are going to have the filmmaker arrested who was responsible for the death of my son . . . She said ‘the filmmaker who was responsible for the death of your son.’ ”
“When I think back now to that day and what she knew, it shows me a lot about her character that she would choose in that moment to basically perpetuate what she knew was untrue,” said Glen Doherty’s sister.
Sean Smith’s mother also noted that Clinton is “absolutely lying . . . She said it was because of the video.”
Affleck didn’t just heap undeserved praise on Clinton, but he also took aim at gerrymandering saying it “leads to a sense of voters not feeling like their vote counts, and in some cases they may well be justified in that feeling.”
He went on to state, “It leads to hyperpartisan politics where special interests rule and party extremists are incentivized instead of common sense and finding common ground and compromise, and a lot of this we’re seeing in our country today.”
The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice actor then claimed Republicans “want to dodge the consequences of their actions.”
What do you make of Affleck’s praise for Hillary Clinton despite her well-known repugnant behavior and reputation?
