Bestselling author and left-wing activist Don Winslow has condemned Joe Rogan’s past usage of the N-word in his podcast, in spite of having his very own history of repeatedly using the same term in his books.

After Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson threw his support behind Joe Rogan, Winslow persuaded Johnson to apologise for supporting the podcaster, calling out the Jungle Cruise star for using his massive platform to defend “a guy that used and laughed about using the N word.”

“Dear [The Rock], You’re a hero to many people and using your platform to defend Joe Rogan, a guy that used and laughed about using the N word dozens of times, is a terrible use of your power,” wrote Winslow tagging Johnson in the process.

He concluded his message asking, “Have you actually listened to this man’s many racist statements about Black people?”

Dwayne Johnson was, indeed, persuaded by Winslow’s message, which led the former pro wrestler to issue an apology of sorts.

“Dear [Don Winslow], Thank you so much for this. I hear you as well as everyone here 100%,” wrote Johnson.

He further declared, “I was not aware of his N word use prior to my comments, but now I’ve become educated to this complete narrative,” stating that this particular event was a “Learning moment for me.”

As it turns out, Don Winslow had some skeletons hiding in his closet, and Twitter user Wokal Distance was quick to point out how hypocritical it was for the woke author to judge Joe Rogan for his past usage of the N-word.

“So, Don Winslow tried to get Joe Rogan cancelled for saying the N-word,” prefaced the user before presenting a fair amount of evidence that the activist author had been using the same racist term in a handful of his novels.

“It turns out that in his books Don Winslow has used the n-word a lot… and I mean a **LOT** So here is a **VERY** long thread of times Don Winsow has used the N-word in his books,” the user continued.

Wokal Distance found out that Winslow’s novels The Force, Savages, The Gentlemen’s Hour, Way Down on the High Lonely, and From the Border — one of the author’s most recent works — contain the aforementioned racial slur being used repeatedly.

“The clip ran on YouTube and a local group cut a song called “‘JustAnother N—ger Baby,'” read an extract from Winslow’s The Force.

Another extract, from the author’s Savages title reads, “You want me to be one of those good Mexicans, one of those hardworking, churchgoing, family-valuing, get dressed in my best clothes on Sunday and walk with my cousins down those broad sunbaked boulevards to a park named after Chavez, humble respectful n—ger taco Mexicans, the ones we all love and respect and pay subminimum wage?”

“You killed one of the finest men I’ve ever known because you ‘thought he was a ‘n—ger.”” reads a dialogue found in Winslow’s The Gentlemen’s Hour.

“‘Well, well,’ Hansen said. ‘I didn’t think you could shoot a gun in New York and not hit a n—ger,'” reads yet another line from Way Down on the High Lonely using the racial slur Winslow so hypocritically condemns Joe Rogan of using.

“And if a bunch of white trash, beaners and n—gers killed one another, it was no loss, was it?” wrote Winslow in The Border — which is actually one of his most recent novels, releasing in February of 2019.

As per Wokal Distance’s thorough research, Winslow uses the N-word a total of 12 times in this aforementioned novel alone.

Don Winslow was not impressed by the research done by Wokal Distance, taking to social media later to defend his indiscriminate use of the racist term in the many novels he’s written over the years.

“So pathetic+desperate to cover up years of racism including comparing a movie theater full of Black people to walking into The Planet of the Apes + being a birther against President Obama that Rogan groupies are now attacking works of *FICTION and *MOVIES to justify Rogan’s words,” wrote a disgruntled Winslow two days after Wokal Distance’s thread was shared.

“So according to Rogan’s groupies John Grisham portraying a RACIST CHARACTER as *RACIST* in a WORK OF FICTION in his novel/film A TIME TO KILL is the same as a person repeatedly saying horribly racist things **IN REAL LIFE** No. Nice try. That’s total BS,” wrote Winslow sharing a screenshot of Grisham’s A Time To Kill novel.

Tellingly, Don Winslow didn’t excuse his use of the N-word, instead opting to use another author as an example without even attempting to apologise for his own, repeated use of the racist slur in his own novels.

After all, it was Winslow himself who in October of last year  that tweeted, “Can we bring consequences? I miss consequences?” making allusion to the anti-Trump rhetoric he constantly pushes on his YouTube channel.

In an interview with MSNBC, Winslow claimed that he was concerned about the state of America, asserting, “We’ve come to a point in our country…I’m concerned about our country. I’m worried that words lost their meanings, facts had no meanings, actions had no meanings.”

According to Winslow, consequences have been lost because people are no longer being held accountable for their actions and the words that they use, which is exactly what Wokal Distance’s thread attempted to do by calling him out on his hypocrisy.

Now that the woke author is being held accountable for his excessive use of the N-word in his many novels, Winslow conveniently turns a blind eye to the consequences he so desired to make a comeback.

Consequentially hypocritical.
